Genuine GM Part: Replacement Parts

Exact Replacement. Supplied with mounted seals. Eliminates the problem of the missing internal check valve. If you can't see the orange piece in the header's center hole, you need a new one. This leads to numerous error codes, exploded seals and damage to the membrane in the valve cover. Most vehicles will need to have both the intake manifold and valve cover replaced.

This is my first comment after receiving the package. It is very well packaged and protected. All parts, seals and individual parts are present. I was a bit nervous ordering it first without seeing photos so hopefully these photos will help for the next person. I will update this review with photos when I get them on my 2011 1.4 LTZ Cruze.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine

Received and installed today. Fits mine perfectly.

Received and installed today. Perfect fit for my 14 Cruz 1.4l. Was a little hesitant to buy as it didn't have photos but I took a chance and it came in brand new unopened packaging from GM themselves. I do all the work myself, it's not difficult to remove and install. The kit only includes the intake itself and gaskets, including the throttle body gasket. Will post an update if I run into any problems.

Go online to find out about PCV valve failures on this unit. You will usually know it has failed when your GM 55573746 - Camshaft Cover (Replaced by Part: 25198874) fails and your vehicle starts coding. Revain is well priced and an OEM brand/manufacturer. out of order, @#1 the reason is that the PCV distributor has failed. If you only replace the valve cover, it will fail again after a short time. Both nodes must be replaced. I used this on a 2012 Cruze LT 1.4L Turbo.

For me it's Dorman or OEM

If you are purchasing this item for CHECK ENGINE troubleshooting you will also need a valve cover. I rated the part in the middle because GM didn't correct the PCV valve design. From about 50,000 km it is prone to failure. When the PCV valve fails, the vacuum diaphragm is subjected to undue stress and literally ruptures. The vacuum diaphragm is located in the valve cover and cannot be repaired. Solved by replacing the valve cover and intake manifold. Parts are usually less than $250 for both…

Buy it if you have a GM 1.4 Turbo and 60,000 miles

best price sent to my door faster. Installation was easy and straightforward. Fixed a bug that caused me to smoke at full throttle at full throttle but no gas at 49mph. Fixed my oil consumption. Stupid check valve problem. You can schedule an inlet change every 60,000 to 90,000 miles. Poor OE design puts the silicone check valve in a non-serviceable place, resulting in your engine eating it up and pressurizing the crankcase, destroying the maintenance-free PCV in the valve cover, and destroying

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Easy to install yourself if you remove a few things

I ported this and installed it on my 13 Sonic RS, I don't like the quality of the mold or form when finished the stitching there isn't tight some gaps in the seams. maybe it will leak later maybe time won't tell i sealed it with silicone. Easier to remove if you remove the fuel rail at the manifold then unplug the injector wires the bracket sets aside also remove the motor bracket that is used at the factory Install the motor in the right hand valve cover and throttle body of the car and it is…

Engine runs like new!

If you have a 2015 or 2016 Trax you will notice a rough idle and increased fuel/oil consumption over time (typically at 60,000 miles). This usually means that the check valve in the intake manifold has failed, causing high valve cover vacuum and a PCV rupture. You can replace the PCV and valve cover, but the problem will remain until that part is replaced as well. The bad thing about the GM design is that the valve and PCV can't be replaced without requiring entirely new assemblies, but that's…
