Bought the smallest size, which is on sale, probably because it doesn't sell well, and it was a really good bargain compared to other cedar tree shoe stretchers that cost around 50$. So I needed 2 and I'm glad I ordered different sizes. I wear a 12 so I ordered xl(10-12) and xxl(13-15). Sure enough the xxl fits the best for both pairs. I noticed a lot of comments on the spring but really it should be to fit them in your shoe and keep the form. There arent used to stretch the shoe. They do smell great and I hope it lasts for a long time. Not a lot of "moving" parts so they should last. I would recommend but strongly considered size or 2 up.

What a difference these have made to my golf shoes. After playing shoes are wet either by water , sweat, wet grass, or puddles. Leaving then to dry on there own caused them to get wrinkled inside hurting my feet as I played the next game. Adding these to my shoes has changed everything. I also use these for my work shoes. These are supposed to fit men's size 13.5 to 15 but they slip into my new Merrell size 14 Jungle Mocs very easily. I sincerely doubt they would properly fit a size 15. So far I have bought the Stratton solid, Stratton split toe and now the Houndsbay split toe shoe trees. I wear a size 9 and ordered the medium in all three. Laying the Houdsbay side by side with the Stratton they are pretty much the same size. Two ordered. The seller shipped the items safely and arrived timely. I have size 11 shoe and these fit perfectly as described. The one thing I had expected was a stronger cedar smell but that was not the case. This did/does not detract from the overall working of the product. I will add, since I did place them in my shoes I have received less "negative" comments about my "feet stink" since I started using them. So.I'd order them again.

I live in the Southern Nevada desert where we have very little humidity. I know cedar removes unwanted moisture from shoes and keeps them looking new by preserving the shape of leather shoes but there must be some inherent moisture in the wood absorbed from my a/c that it keeps my shoes leather interior from drying out as well. So it's a great balance.

I bought the XL for my size 12.5 Thursday Boots. The trees fit right into the boots with no problem but I can't really tell if they're a little small or just right. The heels of the trees are a little loose but the fronts expand out like they should up front of the boots. They do smell great, even if it's a partially artificial scent. Doesn’t crank like shoe stretcher’s are supposed to. It doesn’t come with directions on how to use. From how I tried to insert it to get it to stretch, you basically have to shove it in the shoe as far as it would go. But then you’re left with space behind it that makes it loosen making it harder to stretch back. Weirdest design I’ve ever seen. Waste of money. I’ll be returning it.
