Well, after those cheap plastic folding saws, that's just a dream! They actually fold down to (roughly) 4 x 4 x 36 inches. I added a 2x4 plank of wood on top. To make this task easier, 6 holes are pre-drilled. Steel if I accidentally clip next to a horse. This makes them slightly larger and heavier. I thought mine might have been damaged in transit or something. Something was causing the wobble and it was the 2x4 wheels I was putting on it. The 2x4 I used had a twist. I'm very picky about tools - I hate junk! - but they are really great. I LOVE how quick they set up. It takes two minutes max and you're instantly at a good usable height without fiddling with your feet.
