NOT much better than plain rubber bands

Basically a joke. I have been disabled since '96. I have used many hand therapy products in the last 16 years. This device is easily one of the worst devices that I have used. A plain rubber band by itself works almost as well as this gizmo. Do NOT waste your time or money on this.

Pros
  • The Cando 10-0775 15-Piece Digi-Extend Package is affordable, making it an excellent value for anyone looking to improve hand and finger strength
Cons
  • May be too complex or intricate for some users.

Naturally Strengthened Hand, Avoided Dr.'s Needle

I bought a bunch of equipment to keep up my occupational therapy at home and this is one of my favorite pieces. I suggest this for anyone who is having problems with: hand grip, numbness/tingling in hands, or wrist pain when pressure is applied to hands (ie push ups).I have carpal tunnel & ganglion cyst in my wrist. One doctor told be to have the cyst drained, the other suggested the therapy. I'm happy I went with the therapy. Strengthening my hand has relieved nerve pressure on my wrist and…

Pros
  • The digi-extend is a professional step-up from the simple devices for extensor strengthening and conditioning
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.

Waste of money, try this instead

This product is bad because you are limited to only being able to train the extensor muscles.A better product in 3 steps:1. Get bucket2. Fill with rice(best) or sand(if you are desperate)3. Train your flexors AND extensors!

Pros
  • it will get your hand back in shape fast
Cons
  • May take up too much space in a smaller home or office.

This is a great product for Extensor work

Whether rehab or just want to improve difficult to develop retinacula or Extensors, this item works outfrom the distal digits to the elbow. A great, easy, and take-anywhere item for stress and exercise.

Pros
  • Occupational & Physical Therapy Aids
Cons
  • Some users may find it uncomfortable or painful to use at first.

Therapy in the Palm of Your Hand (pun intended)

I found this device very helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't have the motor coordination to keep from dropping it when I first go it, but I think it has aided my recovery quite nicely.

Pros
  • great for arthritic hands
Cons
  • May be tedious to use on a daily basis.

Works great until the bands decay

This is a great product, but it does have one flaw that is preventing me from rating it higher. I have owned this for 3 weeks now and I just had the first medium (red) band break on me. After 2 weeks, the band started showing obvious signs of fatigue and began cracking. They do include replacement bands, but with only 2 additional ones at the tension I need, it will force me to try and find a rubber band that works somewhere else in a month or so.

Pros
  • Four color-coded band resistance levels allow each muscle or joint to work at a comfortable level and build as increased strength is achieved
Cons
  • May not offer enough tactile stimulation for those with higher sensory needs.

My Fingers Like It !

I think the dividers should have been about an inch longer to allow the fingers a bit more depth for flexion exercises. But for the price, it's a good deal. I will be showing it to my Physical Therapist at the VA Hospital - maybe they can get them into the system, so the VA can foot the bill for all the other disabled Veterans who need them?

Pros
  • The Cando 10-0775 15-Piece Digi-Extend Package's tools are latex-free, making them safe to use for people with latex allergies
Cons
  • May take up too much time or effort for some users.

This works great for me!

People saying that you can use a rubber band have obviously not tried using this device to it's full potential. You have the ability to isolate each finger by putting the thumb inside the middle hole or putting other fingers in there and isolating the thumb. Having a device (I carry it in my backpack with my snacks at college) reminds me to do the exercises instead of a rubber band which would just get lost somewhere and forgotten about. I also use the Progrip exerciser for flexing exercises.

Pros
  • These extension tools are portable and can be used anytime and anywhere, making them great for home workouts or on-the-go use
Cons
  • May not be as effective as targeted exercises or stretches.

great product: my feedback

My son was looking for an item to help strengthen his hand. We decided on this one instead of handball type with the bands as the reviews showed they ended up breaking after a few uses. My son says this is exactly what he was hoping it would be.

Pros
  • it just hit the spot, I need to find the green bands or tighter.
Cons
  • May require additional equipment to be used effectively.

not for me for my opinion

This device is not for me. It is kind of complicated and I think it's too big for my hand. This kind of device should be a easy to grab anytime and just exercise. This kind of exercise you can do with the rubber bands alone. I gave it away. I also bought something called fiddlelink to exercise just the fingers and it is really easy to use, but it is not exercising all the hand and arm muscles, so I am going to try the other device sold on amazon that you just put the fingers into a large piece…

Pros
  • The Cando 10-0775 15-Piece Digi-Extend Package is easy to use, with clear instructions and intuitive design
Cons
  • May not be effective for those who require a personalized approach to rehabilitation.

Goofy, lightweight plastic, and it works

You won't be impressed with a sophisticated design or with the build quality.but honestly.this thing is a good product. It is lightweight with a minimalist design and it allows you to add more bands to increase the intensity you need at any stage of hand rehab. I would recommend it to friends.

Pros
  • Very helpful
Cons
  • May be less durable than other similar products on the market.

So so finger exercise device

This is good once you threat the rubber bands in place. It would be better to have separate resistant units already set up.

Pros
  • The product strengthens the intrinsic and extrinsic muscle groups to maximize extensor tendon gliding, joint motion
Cons
  • May require some adjustments to be used effectively by different body types.

Professional tool for my opinion

Broke my ring finger, needed surgery and after that OT. This is one of the tools they used to get my hand back to baseline. I finished with OT, but I continue to use it at home to bring my hand back to baseline.

Pros
  • Helping my hand after surgery.
Cons
  • Not a one-size-fits-all solution for all users.
