Okay, enough.: Body and trim

Not a bad substitute. I use it with an extra padlock installed on mine. I had to tighten the pivot rod for the brackets to keep them from swinging past the latch assembly to actually allow the tailgate to latch. Pneumatic hammer and hump did their job. Great price if you only use it for a standard pen. I would look for one from GM if you want a Bulldog lock on it. Unless you're good at things.

Good latch for my Silverado trunk

Right side arm needed slight adjustment but not necessarily manufacturer fault. Works perfectly. You just have to change a few things to make them work with your existing system. After installing this lock, I opened and closed the tailgate 20 times without failing or binding. Came with plastic parts that broke which was the original reason I included this lock along with the supposed repair. good price too.

Great product and great service!

This latch was purchased to replace an old broken tailgate handle/latch on my 2006 Chevy 2500 HD. I called my local GM dealer and they wanted $29 for it and they should have ordered it! . I found it here at Revain for less than $15 including shipping to my house! I was very easy to install and my tailgate opens and closes like new! I would highly recommend this product to anyone as the quality of this new lock is as good if not better compared to the factory lock! It also arrived 3 days before…

Bad design, very low security

The product was of rather poor quality, didn't work properly. First I spent over 30 minutes trying to get the handle to sit straight and open/close like the OEM does, to no avail. Second, the safety value is very low. It's more of a "child lock" than an actual safety device. The fascia is very easy to remove, then all you have to do is remove the green and red clips, pull the locking bars and the tailgate will open. It only took me about 1 minute to bypass the lock with a regular flathead…

Great value, as good or better than the original

Great value and as reliable as any of the tailgate handles I've tried. On my truck with an internally latched decklid I have to use a tailgate lock and this certainly contributes to the speed at which I can get through the tailgate handles although if you pay attention you will see many of these generation trucks on the road with broken handles and tailgate trim, not one of GM's best designs if you ask me. It installs easily, has good texture, and pretty good installation action. I think the…

It looks very nice in the photos, but once I put it on.

It looks very good in the photos but when I had it on my truck I was very disappointed. Firstly, no matter what I did and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't align the lock with the hole in the bezel making it appear like it was there. It definitely looks like a very poorly crafted bezel and lock. Second, what I think is much worse, the lock doesn't work as it should. Whatever position I put the lock in, the trunk handle still moves enough to open the trunk. I'm disappointed that I spent…
