Fits Directly On Honda Element 2006

Installed 6/2/2019. It took 30 minutes to remove the window, remove the old one, install the new one, and reinstall the door panel (note the panel was already off when I started). Mounted directly to the 2006 Honda Element, the only problem was that the power and control wiring harness wasn't as long as the factory one, but it was still able to work. Auto raise/lower doesn't work, but I can't say for sure if it worked before.

"Vintage " Part Required to Drive a 2008 Honda Element

After the driver's side window regulator failed twice in the last few years on our 2008 Element it was a godsend. able to purchase a replacement that fit and worked with the window as expected. Figuring out how to get in the door the first time was a little tricky, and remembering the order in which the pieces were taken off and then separated was crucial to being able to put everything back together correctly. For the price, it was a bargain as driving would have been impossible without the…

Easy to install, better quality than the one it replaced.

I replaced the driver's side power window and motor on my 2003 Honda Element. The Element has 206,000 miles on it so I think it's probably the third ESC/motor on this car since the one it replaced wasn't a Honda. I've had the car for the last 100,000 miles and this is the first time I've replaced the driver's side. The Dorman appeared to be of much better quality than the one it replaced in terms of looks of all materials. It's quiet and works as expected. I have no idea about durability and I…

Great price, lasted 11 months

Purchased and installed November 2019, failed 1st October 2020. 1" up and down. I've emailed Dorman regarding limited lifetimes Sent under warranty and asked what needs to be done to replace them I will update this as soon as I get a response from them I will say so far it has been a simple install When installing the power windows come in. Just a few screws and clips are mostly easy to pull straight out and push back in. The exception and one part I've had trouble with is a small triangular…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not the best

I bought one of Dorman's passenger side power window motor kits a year ago when the OEM unit failed and it worked great. Well, last month the old driver's side window unit failed so I bought a Dorman 748-131 unit to replace it. The replacement is easy and took about 90 minutes, there are several videos online showing the process. Anyone with little mechanical skill should be able to do repairs. Only basic tools are required: a small flathead screwdriver, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, and a metric…

Making a product that has no value and then selling it is a willful crime

From the moment I installed it, it made noise when used. Three months later, in the middle of winter, it crashed loudly and collapsed. I wasted no time hiring a professional instead of doing it myself. But it turned out it wasn't my fault. The professional told me that it installed perfectly, it was just an unnecessary part. But I couldn't tell, I don't know the difference. The installer had no idea it was me or that it was only a few months old when it broke. He gave me the part and asked if I

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

When my window regulator broke, I did what a lot of us do—stick things in the door to jam the window until I could fix it. When I thought about the renovation, it seemed outrageously high for such a simple job. So, like many others, I went to the Internet and found videos of the usual Shmok making repairs. Then I wondered if the aftermarket part would work well and it was reviews like this as well as how-to videos that convinced me to do it myself. Seriously, this job requires very basic tools…

Guaranteed to break again

The same cheap plastic parts keep breaking. Window regulators are easy to remove and install. Do not pull on the glass. Simply use the wire hangers as hooks at the top of the track after removing the door cover and switch connectors. Now carry out the inspection work. 99.9% of the time, the cheap plastic piece that goes into the vertical skid plate breaks. The cable rarely breaks, the motors almost never break. So what are you paying for here? You are paying for a complete regulator with the…
