Type of review

As a woodworking enthusiast, I have used multiple mortising chisels over the years, but Woodstock's D2842 1/2-Inch Mortising Chisel has truly amazed me with its exceptional efficiency and durability. Its high-quality carbon steel blade is perfectly designed for mortising tasks and cuts through wood like butter. The chisel easily fits into mortise slots and efficiently clears out waste material. The sturdy and ergonomic wooden handle provides a comfortable grip and reduces fatigue, ensuring that

Pros
  • looks very good, it came in it's original box. It came in a very shot time after I bought it.
Cons
  • maybe it's me but this thing falls apart each time I use it.

Requires Fixture good for me

I suppose it's not fair to knock the chisel for not being complete but there seems to be a lack of information regarding the use a mortising chisel. You'll need a fairly sophisticated drill press setup to use this (that I don't have or care to invest in). Otherwise, it's a very expensive drill bit

Pros
  • Works great! Great addition to my work shop
Cons
  • I couldn't get it to work???
