High quality, large bulbs; depending on the amount of light you want, i would def recommend stringing in straight line for ambiance/dim lighting rather than zig zagged if spaced close together, BC it will end up being too bright. They are also heavy so you want to use a steel cable to attatch to the loops over each socket to help support the weight.have had over a year and no complaints! Love the lights and heavy duty cable, but after contacting IQ lighting, they said that Walmart was the shipper - we had 4 damaged bulbs in the container - the filaments were broken and the light bulb was inoperable. The bulbs cost $7.23 each, so I would expect a credit or replacement of the 4 light bulbs. Otherwise, great product.

Purchased these for our pergola. This is truly a commercial quality light string set. Walmart had them cheaper than anywhere online. Put 3 strands together and terminated the end after running the entire pergola outline. This is easily done by cutting the end and heat shrinking the terminated ends. I bought these 2 years ago and use them in my dining room as it has no overhead lighting. They create a nice soft light. I bought a dimmer and put them on a dimmer, but have found they are either on or off, so don't waste your money :)They aren't very bright, but a great soft light that is perfect for a dining room or outside!

I've seen string lights, but these top the cake! I can't express the quality with which they're made, as far as residential applications go. They're very substantial in weight and drape nicely. There's a 38" space/gap between each bulb socket, and each extends/hangs roughly 7" from the main cord with the bulb installed. This is a nice set of lights for outdoor use. Much nicer than anything I could find at local shops. One suggestion -- buy the extra bulbs now, because you'll likely need them right away. Had the lights up for 4 days and the holder broke and fell across my deck throwing glass all over the place. That said we had a second strand and my husband fixed the end that attaches to the tree or whatever and made it secure and safe. The lights are really nice - they are soft yet put off a nice glow. I have received so many compliments on these lights. I am so glad I went with the higher quality lights (opposed to the cheaper globe ones). They give off the perfect amount of light in my backyard. I was expecting a couple bulbs to be dead, but all of 'em worked. This is made very well. I only knock it a star because two of the light sockets were squished from packing and/or shipping, and were shaped oval instead of round. I used large pliers and worked them back to round -- luckily without breaking the sockets -- and the bulbs went in, held strong, and lit. If I was somewhere without tools, I would have been two lights down.
