I purchased this kit to replace a clogged throat on my Makerbot Replicator 2x. Necks I could have gotten cheaper from another supplier but decided to also replace one of my heater blocks that was on the wrong side of the print that went wrong. The neck works well but the opening for the heating element was a bit smaller. Small enough to penetrate a few millimeters before getting stuck. I ended up drilling a suitable hole, but definitely not a plug and play option.

The hot end hole for the thermistor is very small so I had to buy new thermistors that could fit in this hole - the one that came with my printer was larger, thicker cables and couldn't watch this one hot end. If you already have thinner thermistors, you should be fine. The brass nozzle and threaded neck do not mate exactly (I believe this is because the gasket-like part of the threaded pipe is not flush with the rim of the pipe (it doesn't go all the way to the rim) and prevents there being a…

Good: Injectors. They seem to look ok, I've attached photos compared to another nozzle I bought cheap on Amazon. The hole looks relatively clean and has a slight chamfer on the back. Thermoblocks - basically they are fine. My printer came with a heater block that had two set screws to attach the heater while this block only has one, but I don't see that as a big issue, I had no trouble connecting the heater. Outside.
