I did this update on my CNC 3018 and am very happy with the improvement. Now I can get much higher RPMs and therefore better cuts at higher speeds. Media could not be loaded. So I finally tested it on my 3018. It's terrible. Firstly it sounds criminally loud but it appears to be 30x louder than the original, secondly and most importantly it burned my controller board. Now the only way to turn off the spindle is to turn off the power supply. I think it might have burned the MOSFET on the board. Genmitsu shouldn't sell this, it breaks cars. I don't have the Genmitsu CNC machine these motors are for, although I'd love to have one! I am using this engine for another project. In total I bought 9 motors. One of them is in reserve.
