Was nice but.: my feedback

Was very excited to use this. But after a few light throws. The clip let go and the magnet went flying! So great time for about 10min!

Dont forget to thread lock your screws or magnet will come off.

My first magnet ever loved it. Never failed me. Will buy again. Had to cut rope with two people pulling. It never stretched broke etc. Got magnet stuck on rock.

400lbs? Yeah right.

I tested with iron weight plates. Actual pull weight is somewhere between 115lbs-190lbs.Keep in mind you're not going to be pulling flat metal objects made fully of iron where the magnet gets full placement and your average/effective pull weight will be more than a bit below that. For instance I could not pickup a 25lb dumbbell by the handle because the handle is round and provides limited direct contact.That said, aside from the massive exaggeration, seems decent otherwise.

Good magnet/good customer service

On the first use, my son lost his magnet in the river. I'm not sure if the carabiner or knot came undone. After contacting the company, they were nice enough to send a replacement. Since then my son has thoroughly enjoyed fishing with his magnet, finding various things including magnetic sand, fishing hooks and a folding knife. (I recommend tying the rope directly to the magnet to eliminate the possibility of the carabiner failing. And, be sure to have a very secure knot.)

Super awesome magnet!

First time using this magnet and I was so impressed that I actually had to log into my account and leave this review. A friend and I spent a few hours at the lake and managed to get the usual bottle caps and fish hooks but then also got keys and even pulled out a folding table! (To be fair, the table was folded up when pulled it up). This magnet is way stronger than it looks and there’s plenty of rope for tossing off the dock. It’s well worth what I paid for it and I’m stoked with my new hobby!

Great product for my opinion

This is my first magnet for fishing. I took it out along the boat dock and found a bunch of stuff. Nothing great but it was my first attempt.

Be carful what you stick this on it is hard to get off some things. For such a small magnet it is mighty. It works well. I do suggest it.

for more than just fishing

I love this magnet so much. We moved into an old homestead and i used my magnet to collect nails and objects out of an old fire pit. Such a strong magnet. I then lost one of my hand tools in the creek where i was panning and was able to retrieve it with the help of my magnet. I keep it in my car so that it is always handy. Love it.

Stronger than I thought

I recently purchased two of these magnets. At first, I didn't think the magnet was very strong because things like my car keys and a pair of scissors didn't stick well. It was pick them up, but I could pull them off easily. I went fishing and the magnet got stuck up under a pier to the iron that was the foundation. I tried hard to pull the magnet off. After several attempts, the magnet came off the iron, but it also came off of the clip and flung into the water. The clip wasn't bent so I'm not…

Excellent Customer Service

This magnet seemed solid and well built. However, as with other reviews, on the second outing the metal ring unscrewed from the magnet, leaving just the ring and the clip at the end of the rope. If I had noticed the ring unscrewing I would have used some loctite etc to secure it. When I reported that the magnet came off the ring to the seller, without hesitation they sent a newer version of this magnet that apparently does not have this issue. Not corrosion resistant

Magnet is sturdy and strong. Comes with a bag and a long orange nylon line, a clip and gloves. The reason for the gloves is not clear, is there some type of contaminate on the magnet? The clips and magnet are not coated with anti-corrosive and will rust in a the environment. Doesn't seem to be worth the price, might be less if the bag an gloves were not included.

Good product. Use Teflon tape on bolt,,

It's good quilaty, but until like the other type I ordered. The bolt can unscrew, thus could lose magnet. Use Teflon tape, to fix the problem.

Way smaller than it looks!

This would be a good starter magnet for a kid, but skip it if you're an adult .the magnet doesn't really grab well and it doesn't hold medium items .tiny, small things no problem.

This is so much fun!

I had never tried magnet fishing before I purchased this product so I might not be the best reviewer but I had so much fun with this!I can say that it was very sturdy. We got it stuck on a utility pipe that runs through our river. It took three adults pulling at the same time to get it off. We got it unstuck and the rope was still intact with the magnet. The magnet was definitely as powerful as it says.

It’s small - my new review

A lot smaller than I was thinking. Guess I didn’t read any measurements. I cannot imagine this pulling a 400 pound object out of the water. But it seems like a great starter. Took it apart and you’ve red Loctite, also put a heavier duty hook on.

Highkey impressed for my opinion

I don’t normally write reviews but wow. So, unfortunately on my first toss into the water the magnet must have found a huge piece of metal and I couldn’t pull it off. Obviously I was upset, so I was determined to try everything to get it back so I could actually enjoy the product. I tied the end of the rope to my car and went at it. How the rope didn’t snap is beyond me! I figured the rope would snap pretty quickly but nope! That sucker held on and kept on stretching! I ended up losing it all…

This looks to be a lot bigger in the picture than it is i should have read all the spec before i bought it but its great to have a smaller magnet in the arsenal works great though for its size surprised me the rope is very small i changed it to a thicker rope

Great Magnet in my review

This product works great just tried it for the first time today and this is all the stuff I pulled out of the water in just a hour. So easy to use comes with the rope to attach the magnet to and a little pouch to keep it all in. Very heavy duty and strong fast shipping also highly recommend

Good price is it good for me

For everything that comes with the package it's a good deal, theirs no way this has 400 pulling lbs the Harbour freight magnet I have says it's only 50 an it's have way more magnetic force than this an it was only 5$ so overall I'm not to impressed with this magnet design an everything is great but what I needed it for ill have to find another better magnet.
