great pump! about water pumps, parts and accessories

i use this in my well which is about 400 feet from my house with about 30 feet head and 100 gallon storage tank at my house. First the description said it did NOT have a non-return valve (which it does, I think they've updated the description now) as I need that because I need the water to flow back in the winter to prevent freezing. To remove the check valve, I heated a saw blade and cut the check valve in half, then removed it with needle nose pliers. Since I drained the water again after…

Replacement for a 7 year old pump from the same manufacturer

I bought a pump with the same part number 7 years ago and used it to pump lake water from the end of my dock to my irrigation system. The new pump has some differences from the old pump and I hope it will last longer. The old pump was rated at 20 gpm, now it's 25 gpm. It's chained to a crossbar at the end of my dock and goes to a standard pressure control system with check valve, pressure switch and tank. Right now the new pump is just as powerful as the old pump and can handle 6 full flow…

Great price, works great, no complaints.

Works great for the price. I wish it had a longer electrical connection (at least 50 feet), but that might be too much to hope for at this price point. I have never installed a well pump and have done a lot of research on the process and I would love to do more. But even for a newbie like me, I was able to figure out how to set it up and work. So far, so good. It works "well" and is about 75 feet tall. I have a high water table where the water starts at about 15 feet. I don't know my static…

Used in septic tank holding tanks

I used a Hallmark Industries MA0343X-4 1/2 liter deep well submersible pump. Year This waste water is discharged through my sprinklers 300 feet from my waste water tank. I haven't had any problems with the pump. Two things to like about the pump. It comes with a 10 inch cable that allows me to plug it into a GFI outlet without splicing. The pump body is made of stainless steel and the outlet is made of cast iron. Other septic pumps have a plastic drain. My installation uses a float switch to…

Great independent pump. 24V 2000W with inverter.

I bought this 1/2 HP pump. and installed in 2015. It is now December 2019. Almost 5 years. I live off the grid, it's powered by a 2000w pure sine wave inverter and 4 batteries. My 2000/2500 inverter easily handles current spikes/sinks. Which is remarkable for a 700w motor. The pump is about 150 feet below the surface and my static water column is 80 feet below the surface (the total depth of the well is 430 feet). Even at this depth, the pump has no problem pumping water to ground level and…

Does its job best on rough plumbing

I bought this to water and fill my lined pond. I have both an old artesian well and city water. City water is expensive so I was looking for a way to use my well which according to the old owners of the house had not been used for quite some time. I threw a line in to make sure there was water in there before ordering a pump. Upon delivery I immediately connected what was needed to attach a garden hose, connected it with heat shrink butt connectors, put heat shrink tubing over it and then…

Good pump for the money!

First off, I don't know much about well drilling, but I'm learning. Drilled a well six months ago and finally installed this pump at 90 feet. (a good 100 feet) It pumps some of the most disgusting water I've ever seen, the appearance was like chocolate milk at times. Anyway, I timed it, turning it on for 2 minutes and off for 15 minutes, trying to slowly clear the well of silt and sand. The pump shut off after about 24 hours, the 10 amp switch tripped. Eventually I pulled the pump out and found
