My husband bought this for me for Mother's Day because of cravings during pregnancy. but it stopped working even before it made half of the snow cone ☹️ And wouldn't turn on again. Needless to say, we're bringing it back!

The problem with this machine is that you have to freeze the ice slices first and then let them thaw for 5 hours, otherwise the machine will not work very well. This is a problem for kids who just need a quick snow cone. My kids love our old Rival brand snow cone machine a lot more which uses regular ice. This machine works flawlessly - freezing the pucks in the ice molds provided gives us fine slivers of ice to match the consistency of loose snow. It takes quite a while to get used to how hard you press to get the right ice chip consistency. Press hard to get pieces, not hard enough, it will just rotate the ice piece.
