My cat is obsessed with this!

Our cat Penny is OBSESSED with this toy. Batting her prey out of its "burrow” is her favorite type of play, and this really hits the spot. She will roll around on the floor batting at and grooming it for ten minutes at a time, which, for our easily distracted kitty, is practically all day. I work from home, and keep this next to my desk when I take client calls to keep her from interrupting. The provided batteries lasted a month, running it 2 to 4 times a day. I recommend getting a set of…

Pros
  • Cat watched and was entertained for a short amount of time, maybe 10 minutes. Got bored quickly
Cons
  • Worried that paws could get hurt.

Ball came out; Kittens are bored again

I got this for two active 6 month old kittens. They loved it when I turned it on! They loved it so much, in fact, that they managed to get the ball out of the unit and lose it within 2 hours. Sigh. This toy is a pink plastic box with a rotating fuzzy fabric tail and a catnip ball that the tail pushes around inside the plastic housing. The description says "guilt operation”, and the motor is quiet, I’ll give them that. But when the ball is in the housing, it’s fairly noisy as it rolls around. But

Pros
  • my cat totally loves this toy. she plays it all the time
Cons
  • No cover for battery compartment in box. Extremely noisy

Needs longer feathers

The feathers don't stick out very far at all - in fact they stick out further in the pic than irl. But it works and just needs to be tweaked a bit. That little bonus ball. yeah my cat went crazy playing with it but I need to find it because he hid it for later.

Pros
  • Provides an outlet for excess energy.
Cons
  • Can require frequent adjustments and repairs due to wear and tear

Inconspicuous On/Off switch

This toy came with batteries and a little catnip ball. There is hardly any noise when it is on and my cat likes to try to catch the feathers. He will play with it and then spend a while watching it, as though coming up with a plan. It took me awhile to find the on/off switch, which is on one side and the same color as the plastic. The feathers are protected inside, but the bottom of the toy unscrews, I haven't tried it, but you could potentially replace the feathers by taking the toy apart. I…

Pros
  • Affordable and cost-effective.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to replace parts or find replacement batteries

Keep your cat amused

At first my cat was just curious. Later he began grabbing it; throwing it; caught the mouse in his mouth; threw the toy around the room. Slid it across the room. So he gives a paws up with 4. The mouse could move slower. A label to identify location of on/off button would be great. We put a piece of colored tape on top. Price was ok base on cats liking. But there is not much to it and it is likely highly profitable.

Pros
  • Happy Customer
Cons
  • May not be effective in engaging all types of cats

This seems to be durable, little fast running

Our Exotic loves anything that moves, I think if this would've started out with a slower pace and then went up more and more it would've been more attractive to her?

Pros
  • Auto shut off feature helps preserve battery life.
Cons
  • Can be easily knocked over and damaged

An Entertaining Toy

The cat is always happy to play with this, she'll spend a good amount of time chasing the feathers and really getting into it. She'll even knock it around some and the toy takes it well.Cons: Would be nice if it had a Timer, something to shut it off automatically after the cat loses interest; the Off-Switch is on the side of the toy and all sides look the same, so its hard to find [I put a mark on the side with the switch so that I could find it easier]; and as an extra thought for those of you

Pros
  • Automated toy ensures continuous play without effort from the owner.
Cons
  • Can be dangerous if left running unattended and unsupervised

WingPet Interactive Electronic Cat Toy

I have been using this for one week and it is well made, extremely quiet, and has varied movement. The holes are big enough to prevent paws getting stuck. One of my kittens can get their paws deep inside, but they cannot rip the feather off. Just enough of the feather sticks out to keep them interested. The on/off button is flat/embossed on the side near the bottom and barely visible - a good thing because my cats cannot accidentally turn it off on on. I appreciated the thoughtful prior reviews

Pros
  • Mouse tail and catnip ball provide irresistible stimulation.
Cons
  • May not be strong enough to withstand vigorous play

Cat found interesting

My cat is a feather chaser, and she was pretty preoccupied for a while. she's one years old, and likes to lay next to it whilst it spins. sometimes batting at it. it gives her comfort. what i like is that it is not noisy at all, it has a soothing sound, so I can sew as she is batting at it, and it does not disturb my concentration.

Pros
  • Can be used both indoors and outdoors on a covered patio.
Cons
  • Can be distracting and interrupt important human activities such as work or sleep

Bad Malfunctioning.

At first it looked and worked good for few days. Very noisy too, so i removed the ball out of there, it scares my young kittens. Unfortunately it drained life of batteries right away. Got replaced with brand new ones, worked for another day or two, and now doesn't work at all. So I replaced batteries again, but it doesn't work at all.

Pros
  • Catnip Toys
Cons
  • Can pose a danger if cats ingest parts of the toy

Clever idea but poor execution

While this has a very clever design, it was not very reliable. It stopped working after a few uses. Tried changing batteries, etc. but it would just go for a few seconds and then stop. Also, the "tail" inside spins too quickly and for too long. It would be much better if it spun much slower, for randomly shorter periods, with random pauses before resuming. My cats like to stalk and are more likely to attack when the prey stops moving. Love to see a simple remote control to start/stop.

Pros
  • Keeps cats entertained for hours.
Cons
  • Some cats may not like the scent of catnip and be turned off by the toy

Our cat loves it: my feedback

Our smart indoor cat loves this thing. The way it moves really activates his kitty brain. He catches the "animal” and drags the whole toy around - presumably to eat later. We took the annoying ball out and replaced it with a quieter one, and he enjoys chasing the noisy ball around the house (he won’t chase other things). Our less smart cat is not impressed with the toy or the ball, but she’s happy looking out the window all day whereas smart boy is not.

Pros
  • Quieter than other motorized toys for feline-sensitive ears.
Cons
  • Requires a flat, stable surface for optimal use

Cat's dig it for my opinion

What a bust! Product wouldn't turn on after installing batteries. Even tried a different set of batteries - no dice. Returned.EDIT: They sent me a new one the next day, pretty neat of them. My cats are definitely intrigued by it. If I designed it, I would have included an auto shut-off feature, or done a thing where it maybe turns on 10 minutes every hour. Still pretty good though.

Pros
  • Safe for cats to use without risk of injury.
Cons
  • Some cats may be intimidated by the toy's movement and sound

My Cat asks me to turn this on everyday

My cat loves the toy and it's especially entertaining for both of us when I put it in a brown grocery paper bag. He goes over to the toy and starts meowing at me until I turn it on for him.

Pros
  • Cats
Cons
  • Can become repetitive and boring to cats over time

Fun times!: my feedback

Our cats, especially our big boy, LOVE this toy! They really like to "capture" the tail and keep it hostage for a while. They drag, push, and pull the toy all over the floor while playing with it, and go on high alert when they see me walking towards it to activate. Great value!

Pros
  • Helps keep indoor cats active and engaged.
Cons
  • Catnip ball can be messy and difficult to clean up

At least, so far she loves it! It's been 2 days and I've taken it out a couple times each day. She went up to it immediately after I turned it on, watched for a couple seconds, then started swiping at the feather thing or trying to get the ball out of the toy. She will put her paws in and has not gotten hurt. (Note: do put the ball inside the toy, it gives your cat 2 different moving things to focus on so they are less likely to get bored.) My cat can catch the feather, and will bite it and try

Pros
  • Automatic timer ensures balanced playtime throughout the day.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for cats with certain medical conditions

Your kitties will thank you! >^.^<

What a great toy for my trio! This even got my old stubborn boy up and playing with his brothers. The product box had feathers as the teaser object but the contents were as pictured on the item page (cloth "paw”). I was happy about that since I wasn’t sure how durable those would be. The on/off switch is labeled but could be very hard to find. It blends in well. It’s on the side of the toy. It’s also VERY quiet!MY ONLY WISH is if this would have a remote! My kitties love when it’s off as well…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain.
Cons
  • Some cats may find the toy too stimulating and become overactive or aggressive

My cat loves it to pieces!

My boy Oolong really took to this toy right away. Oolong is not gentle by any standards and has been pouncing, kicking and wrestling with this toy so I'm wondering how long it'll stay in one piece. So far so good. And if Oolong does destroy it I will purchase another one because I'm happy that he's so active and engaged with this toy. Oolong gives this toy 4 paws and a tail up!

Pros
  • Great for multi-cat households.
Cons
  • Battery life may be too short to provide adequate playtime

Product works as expected

This product seems study and the battery life is great. I leave it on when I go to work and turn it off when I get home and I’ve been doing that for a couple of weeks now. The feather hasn’t been destroyed by my kitten, and it seems like a great toy. The only reason I give 4 stars is because my kitten hasn’t played with it since the first day I got it. Doesn’t mean he won’t, cats can be so picky.

Pros
  • Encourages curiosity and exploration.
Cons
  • Can cause tension and competition between cats if not used properly

Stopped working after 1 hour

While it worked (for the one hour), it was pretty nice. Here are some positives-- pretty quiet, could easily read right next to it (I wanted to be close by in case quick response was needed)- catnip ball is optional since my cat showed no interest (I went without it, I assume it would've been louder if it was in there)- feather stops and goes, and varies its speed, all automatically. Keeps the cat entertainedNegatives-- only worked for one hour- I even swapped out the batteries and it did…

Pros
  • Compact and space-saving design.
Cons
  • Must be kept away from water and other liquids
