He doesn't like high refresh rates

Probably should have read the fine print. While it works fairly well at 60Hz and below, going higher will result in screen blanking. I bought this to easily switch between my large gaming rig display and my work laptop while working from home (#quarantine). While this allows me to toggle basic functionality between the two, I need something that adds more stability to the refresh rate to really allow for a seamless on-demand swap without compromise. Oh, and the sound really doesn't like much…

If you have a laptop or multiple monitors, get the GCS932UB instead

I had to return this product as it lacks the EDID feature which makes it appear like the monitor is still connected when he is disconnected from the computer. Both my MacBook Pro and Windows PC moved the desktop and resized the window every time I switched from them as the desktop is set up to span 2 monitors on both computers. The GCS922U disables the monitor when switching, causing the computer to automatically move the desktop to another monitor that is still connected. If the primary and…

Adequate but barely

I hooked up one of these things between a Mac Mini and Linux/Win10. While it's essentially functional for my purposes, I hate it and find it difficult to recommend it to anyone. Here are my problems: - The sound path is a joke. This KVM switch puts so much noise into both channels that they are practically unusable. Others have reported this as well, so I don't think it's just my device. I've since removed that switch from my computer's sound paths and hooked them up to a separate two-way…

Great product with thoughtful design

This product replaced a Trendnet Displayport KVM switch that I hated so much I paid money to have it replaced. In short, the device works well and is reliable, expandable, looks good and has no annoying features. You should be careful with other reviews of this product as it seems like Revain merged all reviews for Iogear KVM Switches and most reviews have nothing to do with this device. I have 3 computers that needed to be switched and two monitors. This unit is expandable so you can control…

Works well.

In general this KVM switch seems to be quite good. It works with my Logitech M570 wireless device with a merging receiver, as well as my keyboard and all media keys. Switching between them is pretty quick and the mouse works instantly. However, not all users will have this experience as different devices and machines take more or less time to reinitialize devices. As for the video, I'm disappointed though. The entire screen is a bit blurry compared to the VGA cable that goes straight from my…

Not worth the price of admission

I was looking for a device that would make it easier to switch between computing devices. For context, I have three machines, one running Linux, one running Windows, and the last running MacOs. As a software developer, it's nice to have many systems running to sort through, run different processes, and/or experiment. Even so, plugging and unplugging display, keyboard, and mouse cables can be quite a hassle. So I figured let's connect the two computers I use most often for a more convenient…

  • Decent performance

  • Long wait
