Works through 630 feet of deciduous trees. Somehow.

I couldn't do a throughput test, but I placed two devices in bridge mode 850 feet apart with 630 foot thick hardwood trees in between and was able to connect at -74 and -77 dbi according to the user interface. Working on channel 11, although channel 1 would probably make more sense for marginal (probably negligible) better foliage penetration. Signing up was easy, just set the computer to 192.168.188.5, subnet 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.188.253, then type in 192.168.188.5. .188.253 in…

Works best in wireless access points

I was looking for a way to connect to the internet in our steel pole building without running wires. That's when I discovered this wireless bridge. I tested it indoors before plugging it in outside and it worked very well. The next step was to connect everything from the outside. When ordering a bridge, be sure to specify the length of the Ethernet cable. The cables included in the kit (2) are approximately 3 feet long. I've used 100ft and 25ft in the post office and a few 15ft around the…

So simple, quick and easy

The product was used as a network bridge from a home router to another router configured as an access point in a metal building about 250m away. "H" and some numbers or "C" and some numbers on the LED display. Think of H as a host connecting to your router. Think of C as a client located at a remote site. The first test takes place in the room where your router is located. A laptop or desktop computer can connect to a "LAN" connection in C or wirelessly (password 66666666) via cat5. You can…

This product is preinstalled. Connect and work.

I have a client who built an additional office across the street from the current one. Instead of digging under a paved road to install fiber, they wanted to create a network from a point-to-point bridge device. I ordered a KUWFi kit. He claims that it goes up to 1 km. I don't know, but he hit 150 yards perfectly. There was almost no installation. I just connected an ethernet cable from the modem/router to one of the ports on the router, to the WAN port, and to the main bridge. Then, in the…

Easy to install but there is a limitation

I used this product to access the internet in my office, not in a store. I watched the video and read the instructions, but I ran into a problem that took me a day to solve. I have a multiport cable modem at home and I have the host device connected to the cable modem and the client device connected to the router at work. It did not work. Apparently I missed a setting or communication problem between the cable modem and the host box that was preventing internet access. Here is the setup that…

We now have high speed internet in two buildings on our property!

We needed to extend the wifi from our cabin to another building on our property so my husband could connect to the internet in his office in another building. We set up these blocks and they work great! You don't have to be an IT professional to do this. Here's what we did: We started in a building that already had WiFi. When unpacking the modules, make sure that one is switched to H and the other to C. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN side of each module and the other end to…

Bought to use as a simple long distance bridge. So far so good

As an example, we used a simple point-to-point Ethernet bridge from a house to a barn about 300 meters away, with a DVR and several cameras to monitor the cows. For this purpose, they worked excellently from the start. The only downside is that these things are like a swiss army knife for nets from what I understand. Apparently they have about half a dozen additional functions that they can potentially do for you to act as an extender and a few other things that I haven't really looked into…
