I needed a laptop that I could still use WordPerfect 6.1 on because I was developing my business cards. The sound drivers installed and loaded without installation, the battery was brand new and 100% charged, not 30 percent. Inside was clean for a while to learn how to turn on the fans. The store was fast too 10/10

The computer arrived in a few days. No scratches and well packaged. I couldn't connect to the internet so I called Dell Technical Support. Eventually they found that the internet connection was not working on this computer. Windows support has ended as the computer is over 5 years old. The only alternative was to pay Dell $120 for repairs. computer returned.

I see some reviews complaining about an outdated OS. So don't buy an XP system if you need a new laptop with Windows 10 or higher. XP systems do not play the latest videos and are not designed for web surfing etc. If you need XP or prefer it for your use then this is a great buy. I finally got a chance to try the upgraded Dell C-640 that I've been using for years. This D series is a bit faster, but not by much. It has more USB ports but only one PCMCIA slot. The built-in Wi-Fi works so I can get by. (I use a PCMCIA adapter to backup to SD cards, not flash drives or external hard drives. I can also read micro SD cards from my cameras. I can't tell you how happy I am as a techie with this laptop! It arrived very well packaged, LOOKS brand new, XP Pro installs easily and first thing I checked for viruses and malware and it's 100% clean. It's not a 2017 slot, but it runs on the best operating system Microsoft has ever created. XP nearly bankrupted Microsoft because of its flawlessness. They had to develop software for their new operating systems to get people to buy them. Very, very satisfied. Thank you!

Worst purchase ever - this laptop sucks - came with an outdated browser so now I have to buy a $12 drive to replace it or just this one Sell piece of crap - so unhappy
