Good price, good quality

Installed on the front of a 1982 GMC motorhome. Severe pain pushed her through the hole at the bottom of the swivel arm. I used a vacuum pump to siphon them off as shown in the YouTube video and it helped a lot. Installing the top hard drive was also a problem. But they are and work well. Have only done one ride so far so can't speak to performance yet but hope they help reduce fuel economy.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Sturdy but time consuming to install

This is a very durable item but you will need to watch YouTube to find the correct installation method. I used some zip ties to squish the item with soap and something to protect the bag from the sharp edges of the zip ties. I used a saw to cut out the old ones. If the old one is still inflated, deflate all the air and run it to loosen it in the coil spring, otherwise it will stick to the spring and make it difficult to remove.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Expandable

Kungfu grip not included

I have fitted them to a few other cars as well as similar air springs. My caliper lock melted the old one a bit so I only needed one more. It took a lot longer to cut the old one and gut the pieces. I used the hot water method as well as the heat gun and couldn't tie the ends enough to fit the A-arm hole. I was able to install my A/C vacuum pump and under suction I could barely persuade it. I think you need GI Joe's old kung fu grip if you still have it. Nice to see a finished installation…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Only available in black

work, but how long to install, wow!

install through a hole less than half the diameter and they are rigid. The included zip ties are just for fun, remove them from your back and throw them in the nearest bin. Now find a large enough hose clamp and use it to squeeze these shocks until they just go through the hole in the bottom of the A-arm (with a liberal application of silicone spray). You can come just a few inches at a time, then move the yoke down, tighten again, tighten tighter, repeat. I had to use a scissor jack to raise…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No automatic

Great product: Air Suspension Kits

I have used this product before on another motorhome. Both times they were on a Chevy P30 chassis. I used Sawzall to cut old bags into pieces to get them out. You can find a lot of help online for this process. To install the bags they must be squeezed together and pushed up through the tab on the underside of the suspension arm. I'm 63 years old and I made it. It's not easy, but it's doable. I squeeze all the air from the bags into a vise between two pieces of wood. Then they can be folded…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Can't remember

A good product. Everything you need in the box

Not exactly easy to install but they eventually caught on. Followed the instructions and the hardest part, aside from compressing the hard stuff a little enough, was getting the end discs back into place. The second was of course easier than the first. We ended up cutting a piece on one side of the ring. That way the bottom ring went in much easier. The top ring is a splinter in the rear and increases patience. We had to use silicone spray and lube to get the bags in the hole and use zip ties…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

A good solution for old motorhomes.

I recently bought an Air Lift 1000 for our 1989 Winnebago Elanda. The old airlifts were shot down when we bought the device. After cutting out the old ones with a saw, we were ready to install new blocks. After a little research on the internet I decided to remove the front wheels and use a vacuum pump to remove all the air from the new air lift pads. Installation was very easy this way. It fits snugly on an older P-30 Chev. Chassis coil spring up front, I don't think we'd have a good time…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Reliability

1994 Bounder Motorhome

I bought these to replace the lazy air springs on my motorhome. I was concerned about the installation as I had read all the horror stories about how difficult the installation was. It turned out that I had no problems and did all the work on my own in 2.5 hours. Simply squeeze all of the air out of the bags, replace the lid, then press each end and fold the airbag in half like a hot dog bun. Use zip ties or something similar to keep them in that shape. Make sure you clean up the hole you slide

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Negative Impression

Update: Worked great while it lasted but after just a year the valve stem broke out of one of the pockets . Disappointing quality. I installed them on the front coil springs of a 1996 G30 van. Prior to installation, I only had 0.5 inches of front suspension travel before hitting the rubber bumpers and hitting the ground many times. Once installed and pumped up to 70psi I have just over two inches and the suspension is much stiffer. The car no longer reaches the ground. Installation took four…

Pros
  • Nice to use
