🔌 Dual Pump Installation Kit by PumpSpy Review

I bought this to set up my PumpSpy backup system. There are 2 pumps in the sump: my main pump and a 12vdc standby pump. This Y-piece worked great for connecting 2 pumps to the same 1-1/2" fitting. Can't rate durability as it's only been installed 2 months. I can say this is by far the quietest system I have ever owned I think having 2 check valves right on the outlet of each pump really helps keep the noise down.

I thought it was expensive when I bought it but after receiving it I realized there is a lot of value here. All components are of high quality and constructed in such a way that they do not impede the flow of water in any way. You can save a lot of time here compared to trying to find decent pieces at your local big box store and gluing them together. High quality product. Fittings, clamps, pipes, check valves are very durable. Excellent quality. The only downside is that the tubes are so solid and rigid that your build must conform to this design and spacing. I brought it home and my 2 pumps just needed to be repositioned a little bit so I'll probably skip that part. I could try using it differently so it still works, but it didn't work exactly the way I planned it to, with two pumps in a sump with a drain pipe.

This saved me a lot of time. I installed a Zoeller M53 drain pump in my sump with a Pump Spy PS1000 system using this dual pump installation kit and it works like a charm. I drilled a drain hole in the check valve threads just above the Zoeller pump but below the check valve. Everything fit perfectly in the hole under the lid. All in all a very good installation, easy installation on an existing system. Connected/mated to an existing Zeller pump with 1 1/2" threads so had to take a couple of PCV risers off each pump to screw in 1 1/4" check valves to get everything to the correct height bring. during assembly.
