Perfect fit for 2012 RX350

I installed new support legs on my 2012 RX350 in 10 minutes. Perfect fit and very easy installation. The tailgate works well and I'm glad I saved over $300 at the dealer. Watch the YT video first, pay attention to the placement of the old and new parts, and you're on your way to an easy do-it-yourself repair. A+++

A bit stiff at first

I bought the A-pillars from the same company and they fit my wife's Lexus Rx350 perfectly. When I attached the posts to the tailgate I expected the same result but they proved to be too rigid. At first the car struggled to close the back door and when I opened it automatically it struggled to keep the back door from swinging open. After opening and closing it a few times it seemed fine.

Easy installation in parts

It seems Lexus has problems with these luggage racks because I've read a lot of reviews from people who had to change them. The old racks could not be opened in the cold. I almost passed out when I discovered this problem. These new ones were very easy to install and kept the tailgate open. I love that they open the tailgate all the way so I don't have to worry about hitting my head. Some people have complained about this and it shouldn't be very high. I have a 5ft 5in and have no problem…

Decent replacement but not quality OEM

They fit my 2011 Lexus RX350 tailgate nicely. They have a little more "spring" than the OEM versions as they go up and up a little faster jump (too much force), but other than that they're fine. I'm certainly not paying the $200 the dealership is asking for their properly tuned OEM versions. This is the second set of tailgate pillars that I replaced on my 2011 RX. The OEM racks started to fail after about 6 years and my second set of Chinese fakes lasted about 3.5 years. I suspect they won't…

Don't waste your money

I asked buyers of this item on Revain before buying and someone said they are very good, in fact they make a rather annoying squeak when they close the trunk. i don't really know because they open further than the original ones and when closing they put a lot of pressure on the clamps and also make a grinding noise when opening and closing, even if i smear some grease on the inner guide rail, the noise doesn't go away. The lifts came in a box with the ECCRR stamp but there is no numbering, no…

Unexpectedly difficult construction. Failed almost immediately.

I installed them; now they are used up within a day. They work well and appear to be a great replacement for the old worn out gas struts on my 2010 RX 350. However, their installation was not as easy as expected. The spring clips at the tailgate end proved difficult to position, requiring not only a screwdriver, but also pliers and considerable force. This made the installation much more labor intensive than expected. It seems like a good product, but expect extra time, tools, and effort to…

No problem!: Shocks, struts and suspension

I have a 2013 RX350 and all the shocks are failing. The tailgate does not hold when the car is on a slope and the hood dampers no longer support it. I have 85K on the machine so that's pretty disappointing. I've only opened the hood 3 times since I bought it because I honestly take it to the dealer for service every 5,000 miles. Heck, I know people with cheap, high-mileage cars who are on their last legs, but their original shock absorbers are fine. In any case, I will not buy stock shock…

Direct replacement and easy installation

We were told that this is a direct replacement for our 2011 RX350 and are very pleased with the results. The old OEM rusted and started to fail. Installation is very easy and took about 10 minutes. The only tool I used was a flat head screwdriver to remove the metal bracket on either end of the rack. Note for those doing this installation alone. A PILLAR IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE REAR DOOR UP. Do this one side at a time. This is a step-by-step description of what I did when installing…
