He made it himself and isn't even remotely into mechanics.

Read the instructions then watch a YouTube video of someone wearing this. There was no hard work. Now my trailer lights are flashing to signal a stop. Much better!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Easy install

Successfully installed quickly, no splices or headaches. It took me a few extra minutes to feed into the compressor compartment on the driver's side and under the plastic trim on the passenger's side. This avoids external wiring and the socket is not exposed to the elements and remains hidden when not in use.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Very high quality finish and easy to assemble, quite difficult to spoil. My Curt lasted less than three years before it shorted out and then shorted out a tail light. You could see where the moisture had gotten in. The new Reese I just bought is much better waterproof and much smaller to fit over the ammo in the taillight housing. seemed generally easier to install than the previous Curt model.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Price

Pretty easy setup, for the most part.

Easy to install between taillights and tow bar. The biggest PITA was the power cable from the driver's taillight to the battery. As with most things, this was done in the driveway of the home with no elevator. It's mostly in the brake lines. I don't like the idea of an "always on" battery. I hope that the power consumption when parking is minimal. All sockets seem to work when needed, waiting for the trailer to be plugged in later.

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • Upgradable

Did what it was supposed to do

Took about an hour to install without a lift. It's definitely easier to route the cable to the front panel by running it through the engine bay and then connecting it at the back, rather than starting from the back of the car as sometimes asked. Also, and I can't stress this enough, make sure your ground wire makes good, firm contact with bare metal. If it doesn't, you'll end up with a device that's lit all the time, and you'll wonder why.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Great kit, great instructions. Installed on my 2016 Chrysler Town & Country

This thing is amazing. It was easy to install. The hardest part was connecting the 12 volt cable from the battery, plus everything was connected. I love that you don't have to cut any wires to install this kit. The instructions were very informative, taking you step by step and even suggesting attachment points. I used it in combination with a Hopkins 47185 multi tow adapter to get a 7 pin and 4 pin setup. I ran a larger wire from the battery to power it and 12v for the 7 pin connector. Overall

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Not sure

Connected but no love

I am giving this product two stars because it was really easy to install and if it worked it would be exactly what we wanted. I have a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. towing our new mobile home with tent. I installed the product and when I connected the trailer we had no light on the trailer. I checked all my connections, checked all voltage outlets, drilled a new ground, but none of that fixed the problem. My trailer works as tested by connecting it to my Ford Ranger. after checking everything…

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Watch the YouTube video first and you will have no problem.

Fits exactly as described in the YouTube video. They sent me the exact number of zip ties needed for the job. My only complaint is that the gauge wire that runs under the car from the battery to the taillight assembly is a different gauge than the taillight assembly itself, forcing me to use my own supply of weatherproof crimp connectors. I'd also suggest once you're done installing (and check it out: buy a CURT 58260 Vehicle Socket Way, flat tow tester, 4-pin trailer harness: worth every two…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Many things

Product is defective - customer service is much worse.

This harness was fitted to a Dodge Grand Caravan in about 1.5 hours. Everything worked except for one of the taillights. I checked the connections and found that one of the included T-connector plugs was missing a pin that was supposed to power the taillight. No problem, I just call Reese and ask her to send a new plug, I plug it in and everything will be fine. No way, after about 40 minutes of waiting I finally got the "customer service" (note the sarcasm) of a person who announced that he…
