Although installation required a bit of effort, it brought my Milwaukee M18 Impact Wrench back to life. When disassembling, be sure to note that Milwaukee's schematics aren't very detailed on where the parts go (like the spring that pops out and actually holds the battery contacts flush against the battery!)

Not like the picture. While this works I need to cut off the ends holding the screws coming from the power supply on my drill. A better option would be to leave the terminals on the wire and just screw in a new brush assembly. Just note that you may need to splice wires to drill and don't have a direct set of screws to remove.

My old Milwaukee 2602-20 rock drill is tired. I ordered this replacement brush set and it fits perfectly. Comes with longer wires so you can cut just the right size. After soldering the wires to the switch terminals and cleaning/installing the motor assembly and plate, the old M18 impact drill is ready to go again. Many Thanks. You use very small, very short screws to attach each of the two wires to the brush set holder. One of the wires broke off at the end of the wire where it was crimped and I had to re-solder it. I did the same with the other wire as well, so I knew it would be secure during assembly. Also, one of those little screws was missing and I had to find another screw that would fit. The wires are a little longer than the OEM part, but they hide nicely under the trigger switch if you don't shorten them…
