Does a nice job.

I installed it on a table saw table. I have a cheap portable saw that I hung from a piece of plywood. I didn't want my own table as I just don't have the space. The set I have is disassembled and put on shelves or out of the way. I installed it in the socket instead of the wing as it suits me better. I'm trying to get used to the raised part in the middle, which seems odd but works well.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I think hobby carpenters might find this difficult to install. It is a pity that this company does not have a website with help. no This company does not make the installation process easy. After reading the idiotic instructions, try to find a website where you "should" find instructions for your router and installation instructions. Not so. Be sure to visit their website to see if you can install it with your router.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Socket required

It's funny how many people are complaining about the raise.

Funny how many complain about the raised center. Most milling bits I have measured and/or read have a recessed/concave center (although they are sold as "flat"). the center of the disk where the bit is. If the center is concave, which is what you should be doing, pretty much anything you do will have a curve in it as the piece goes in and out of the indentation. Stupid. I have two routers, both are constantly connected to these tablets. The old one was installed and has been hanging since 2001.

Get ready to change this item

Immediately after purchasing this I thought this was a great deal. It won't be long before the congregation moves south. The instructions are rather vague and built around an installation package (sold separately). The plate itself appears solid, but it bulges in the middle (the instructions imply that the router's weight offsets it, but it doesn't). It has an "alignment system" (plastic thumbscrews) which is useless as the screws loosen due to the router's vibration. For this reason, they have

The bow is a fun idea

The material used is solid, the assembly is excellent. The onion is what absolutely kills it for me. Like some of us hobby carpenters, it took me a while to get this installed on my router table. I was aware of the intentional bend but optimistic that the router's weight would straighten it out. It wasn't like that. Not in the slightest. My Bosch 1617ESVPK router isn't the lightest. You'll probably need at least 20-30 pounds of thrust to get it into semi-flat condition. To make matters worse…

Some assembly required

As it stands, this router baseplate was perfect for what I was looking for. I added a router table extension to my table saw and needed something that would fit inside. The instructions were a little shaky at times, but I've seen enough YouTube videos to know how to mount the base plate on the table. That I wasn't prepared for it to be a human error. This panel requires someone to drill their own holes, and even using my router base as a template I still got everything misaligned multiple…

Brad Point Bits Forbidden

It almost makes me sick. I think that's the perfect base for the money. I meticulously put this into my new 72 inch desktop. My store and my time are dedicated to a good product. I screwed up a lot. Correctly position the hole for the above height adjustment of the plate. I used the nozzle on the back, and BAM!, knocked out a huge chunk of the front of the baseplate. I can live with my mistake. Please don't make the same move. Use a new twist drill and follow all directions, including using a…

Good Enough: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

I don't use router tables for a lot of things, but I prefer to dress mortise, splines, and lugs on a router table than on a table saw. Mainly because in many cases these rills/grooves/dados stop. I also sometimes make a large profile bar. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I tried this one. it's good enough That's the best I can say about it. I've had both a Jessem Rout-r plate and a Woodpeckers insert in the past, they were much easier to change rings and had more ring options. However…

I kinda regret not buying another brand

Now that it's on sale it works well but it was more work than I thought it would have to do. One of the "features" of the product is that it works with 3/4" thick countertops. Almost all router table designs require 1 1/2" thick MDF lamination. The leveling screws were not long enough to fit on my 1 1 /2" table to work (without sinking them at the bottom of the table). I just cut a hole the right depth. The instructions for milling a plate hole in a table seem strange. They force you to make a…
