6 on par with competitors in this price range

I was looking for an ultra wide angle lens for my D90, it was somewhere between this and the more expensive Tamaron. Focal Length: The 10-20mm range is the perfect complement to kit lenses and standard zoom lenses. Aperture: f/4-5.6 is on par with the competition in this price range, meaning it's not a big deal for landscape photography. However, it's nice to have overhead space if you need to use it handheld or in low light. Autofocus: The autofocus mechanism is very fast and almost silent…

Excellent on my Nikon D7000s

I am a commercial photographer and for the company I work for I have a Nikon D610 and 18-35 3.5-4.5. I love the extremely wide angles this pair makes. I have two Nikon D7000s because I like to shoot car races outside of work and I love the 1.5x crop factor on my Nikkor 180mm f/2.8 ED. I decided I needed an extremely wide angle for my cameras, so I decided to try this lens. I like him! It's built like a tank, better than many Nikkor lenses. It has fast focus, instant manual focus and sharpness…

So far so good for camera and photo

I need the widest lens I can get without crazy wobble. I bought the first used lens for $300 (same model but older) but it didn't work with my Nikon D5100 so I returned it. For another $100 I got a new one, properly adjusted and with a full warranty. I wasn't sure if I should buy another lens, but the price is very attractive, especially since I don't have to spend a lot on a lens right now. Tamron or Tokina glass costs at least another $100-200, and Nikon is twice as expensive. None quite…

This is an excellent lens. Sharp and WIDE, perfect for home shooting

I'm a REALTOR and I've found that the better the shots the more impressions and the more impressions the faster the sale. I knew I could take better pictures of enclosed spaces in apartments with a wide-angle lens. After reading some of the reviews here I was hesitant to buy this lens. However, I didn't want to spend enough to buy a Nikon 10-24 or 12-24. Since MLS photos display low resolution and are notoriously bad, I bought them. I'm very glad I did. I may have just gotten a good copy, but…

Amazing Landscape Lens

First of all, to understand the context of this review, I consider myself an average beginner photographer. I take the time to try and think about the pictures I take, but I'm still not that good. I felt like I had reached a plateau with the kit lens that came with my D3200. With the stock 18-55mm lens, I failed to take impressive landscape photos. Most of the time I didn't realize I couldn't compose a photo (while I was shooting), but when I put the images on the big screen, the photos just…

An excellent lens for its price.

I would give this lens 4 stars which I think is about as good as you unless the lens is really outstanding and top notch. Since there are significantly more expensive lenses with finer workmanship in the tube and glass, that's damn good. Having said that, I have to say that I tested the lens in real life situations where some features lag behind. sharpness. I'm still using my trusty 10.10MP Rebel XTi Kiss, which can only produce so much sharpness from each lens due to the CMOS resolution. The…
