First of all this is a great product that we have seen. The 2 mpg increase in fuel economy went from 11 to 13 in the city and 16.5 to 18.9 on the highway. Second, you need to allow about 4 hours to install and read the instructions, the mass airflow sensor needs to be in a vertical position (laughs). Love is of great importance in strength. Oh, plan to lick with a high-flow muffler, already have high-flow cats, and then add a super chip.

CAI looks nice under the hood but that's about it. Cheap materials and nothing fits without modifications, not to mention the grommet that came with this unit doesn't fit properly in the air temp sensor recess, I had to cover it with silicone to keep it in place. Ultimately I didn't see much chance of performance other than a horrible whistling noise when accelerating or braking.

This product was purchased with all the parts needed plus some extra nuts (some extra nuts). It took me a little over 1 hour to complete the installation. Throttle is more responsive and makes a deep rumble when you give it a lot of throttle. But I think the HP gain is few. I would give it 5 stars but there was a scratch on one of the tubes like it had fallen on concrete but for the price I'm not complaining. Works just as well as the K&N sets I've had before. I definitely recommend this set.

I have had this unit on my 1999 F150 since July 2010 and am generally happy with it. I noticed a power/torque increase. Gasoline consumption is not that great. This product is said to be compatible with 1999 Lincoln Navigator 5.4L V8. No, that is not so. The intake sleeve is too small to fit into the engine's dual-port intake; and after acquiring a suitable one (another $30 out of pocket) the actual pipe is about 8 inches longer on the ported side. It's a long way from bringing the heat shield and filter assembly together.
