After being underwater for 8 days during the Houston Harvey floods, I found that all of my backup data had been destroyed. After buying a new Imac, I plugged in an external hard drive and it worked right away. Apparently I didn't lose anything and it's been working fine ever since.

This works GREAT on PS4! The hard drive shows up to 918 GB hard drive (bought 1 TB). Just plug it into a USB port and it will be recognized automatically! Just note that PS4 will ask you to format it. It's very quick and easy. You can move games to your hard drive and save space on your PS4.

Useless so far - drive cannot back up my files. At first, my computer couldn't tell that this drive was even connected. Now that I've gotten my computer to recognize it (30 minutes of googling/switching), the drive still fails to back up.
