Review on Beosound Stage Wireless Multiroom Soundbar by Bang & Olufsen by Ada Wocial ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

I read some angry reviews on the soundbar and decided to add my 5 cents in defense. I was looking for a soundbar to replace the Dynaudio BM6A stereo pair (studio monitors, classics of the genre in terms of sound). Moreover, the replacement should sound (not yell) as close as possible to the model being replaced and be without a subwoofer. The task is ambitious - the body of the soundbar cannot outdo an ordinary speaker in the bottom-middle. Nobody canceled physics. But it turned out that there is a solution. After a long search and listening, I decided to stop at Stage. With bass, she is all right, as well as with other frequencies. Compared to Dyaudio, I noticed some minor detail issues. I note that the detailing in any soundbar will suffer, as the processing algorithms try to slightly compress the sound in order to squeeze a juicy and colorful sound out of this type of case. Therefore, throwing this moment aside, I summarize Stage sounds by 5 points. If it is important for someone, the speaker is installed on the wall. Next, about the connections: connected to the router by wire, TV + set-top box connected via HDMI. Once there was a jamb with an HDMI wire (it bent and broke) and for some time I had to drive the sound through airplay. There were no problems with synchronization even for "heavy" files. In general, since 2022, no jambs have been noticed at the column. A couple of times it hung and was not displayed in the air play menu. I had to reload. It is important to ate the firmware regularly. And now about the power I won’t say for a room of 35 sq. M., but 25 sounds good. Of course, if you are used to listening to music in such a way that even your neighbors bleed from your ears, then this soundbar (and others too) is definitely not for you. But if you need high-quality sound in one case, then this option, in my opinion (despite the price), is the best on the market.

Pros
  • Great sound and design (read full review below)
Cons
  • I would like Bluetooth at least version 5. But maybe I listen to material through air play / hdmi, there is no point in this;)
