Firstly, I have an Xbox Series X. Yes, this OPTIX MAG321QR runs at 1440p/120Hz with VRR. As well as being able to select 4k/60hz with VRR, the 4k signal is downsampled by the XSX for display on the monitor. You can also use it to run HDR10, but only at 400 nits. didn't notice any difference. I have a TV with 1500 nits of peak brightness, so I know how good HDR can be, just not at anything under 1000 nits. I don't have a PS5 but from what I've read you should be able to use 4k/60Hz or 1080p/120Hz with your PS5 as this monitor supports 4k signals. All of this was ready to use out of the box, no firmware updates were required. Looks great on the monitor! There are some visible IPS lights around the edges of my device, but I only notice it when loading screens. Colors look great, dark scenes don't smudge or double. Ask questions if necessary. I know it can be difficult to find a monitor for the X-Series, so testing again. I can CONFIRM on Xbox Series X that the OPTIX MAG321QR runs with VRR at 1080p/120Hz. 1440p/120Hz with VRR. 4k (downsampling, not NATIVE)/60Hz with VRR. Also edit HDR10 resolution. After a few days and nights with this monitor I'll probably return it and look at another one from MSI. I'm experiencing a bad gradient that leads to banding, glare from backlighting is very distracting. I still recommend anyone who is less picky than me to try it for themselves. Those two issues aside, it's really nice and well built. Edit 2: I can reduce the backlight bleeding to a very negligible level by leaving the default color space in the Xbox menu, decreasing the color bars I've found when lowering, setting the brightness on the monitor to 40, and disabling black level adjustment. Now I use 2 picture profiles, one for the day with high brightness as backlight bleeding is not noticeable during the day and one for the night to solve my initial problems. Edit 3. I posted a photo about 5 months later showing display issues. The screen flickers, going completely white, and as it warms up it stabilizes, leaving a white haze around the edges. I do not recommend this product. I contacted MSI and they didn't answer me. Thankfully, Revain got it right. I WILL NOT BUY FROM MSI AGAIN, not because of a product defect, but because I am ignoring a customer with an issue that is clearly related to a product defect. This risk is not worth it.
