This is sold as a velvet but it is really just a heavy felt. It offers all of the lint of a heavy felt and it doesn't take much to have a mess. I am 5'7 a size 16-18 with DD bra. I got the xxl It fits normal. Not lose, not to snug. If you want and loose fitting shirt you would need to go up in size. As some have said mine came in a thick and stretchy material. It's a bit rough feeling as well. Does not feel like cotton or a cotton blend. Not soft.It's also a little short for my preference. I think this is a pretty nice sweater, not great, but good. It's neither the warmest sweater nor the prettiest sweater that I own, but it's fine for winter weather, and for popping on when I need an extra layer of warmth. Great case. Good protection, and just the right amount of grippyness. They have managed to use plastics that feel great, durable yet soft, smooth and grippy.
