UNREAL ITEM

I thought it would be great. This product turns out to be counterintuitive as I was expecting to save money and effort in the long run and although I saved about $6 on soap I am now in a hole when considering the cost of add this product and all the frustration it caused. Right out of the box, one set's screw band/cap was difficult to screw onto the jar, but I figured I could live with what I was convinced was just a minor manufacturing flaw. That was 3 1/2 months ago. I have filled this jar 6 times and each time the threaded band/lid has been more difficult to remove and replace. That's just one of the problems I've encountered. The "brushed nickel" finish of the PLASTIC pump mechanism on both pumps began to wear off within the first week and now looks horrible because you can see the white plastic of the base material. The pumps also started to freeze after about the same time, presumably due to trim wear; after you have pressed the pump, you have to pull it out again manually, otherwise the pump will not dose correctly. Yesterday after I refilled one of the cans and reconnected the pump to the can, it didn't overflow. I assumed the pump was clogged somehow, but after removing it from the jar and rinsing it well under hot water, it still wouldn't pump. I then attached the pump to another can and nothing leaked either. It's safe to assume that the pumps have been recycled and worn out due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the extra handwashing involved, but that's definitely not a problem as the second set sat on a jar in the kitchen with foaming dish soap in it. it was rarely used. In comparison, the second jar was actually only filled once, but still had the same issues, except that it wasn't difficult to screw the band/lid onto the jar. I do not recommend this product. In fact, if you want to use a foam dispenser to save money, buy a pre-filled dispenser from your local store and once empty, you can refill it with a solution of 1 part liquid hand soap or 4 part dishwashing liquid. water parts; You still save money and landfill space.
