When describing these buckles, great care was taken to ensure that the buckles are made of real brass. Okay, that sounds better than other materials, but they can still turn green and leave green stains, but that's not going to happen! ! !Cheap steel buckles. They are very malleable (bend easily) and any magnet will jump on them. That's not brass. I'm hoping to replace the tie down straps with something else, but replacing the three buckles on each side will be more difficult. I hope the rivets are brass or copper otherwise there will be sticky spots around them. Still worth the money but only because they were really cheap.
