3.5 stars. In fact, this is a good quality hygienic lipstick, more like a lip gloss. A stellar pull for the price, but overall it's pretty decent quality and I might buy it again if I can't find anything better. It doesn't work miracles, but it does do some of what it claims to do. I have very dry lips. Usually, when I put on lipstick, regular lip balm, or similar products, my lips start to flake off quickly. This is very frustrating. This product appears to reduce (but not eliminate) this problem. I think it helps with swelling a bit too, but again it's not a miracle product. It has a subtle but pleasant aroma. I don't feel anything when wearing it. It's shiny but not sticky. For those with less problematic lips, this is likely to lengthen lip color when used on top or underneath. Good product if you are realistic in your expectations. ETA: I found a real solution to my horrible lips: this product plus Avon Beyond Colored Lip Balm! I wish you knew how long I've struggled with this horrible chronic chapping. As long as. My lips even bled sometimes. As mentioned in my original review, this product helped while the typical gloss and hygiene buds didn't, but it wasn't a stand alone solution. My Avon lady kept talking about her lip balm but I assumed she was just promoting sales. I later tried Beyond Color as this Lip Rescue reduced some of the chapping. I was shocked that the lipstick didn't crack my lips and even more surprised when I took it off and found my lips were almost normal! So I ordered Avon Colorless Lip Balm and have been using it in combination with my lip balm ever since. And yes, my lips are fine now. That's great. I use lip conditioner a few times a day and apply Lip Rescue at night.
