Review on πŸ’ͺ Enhance Your Bedroom with Happybuy Murphy Mounting Wall Springs Mechanism Heavy Duty Support Hardware DIY Kit for Queen Twin Size Bed (Horizontal), White by Bill Martinson

Edit: I was optimistic and eventually made it, but not because of the product.

So I don't know where to start. I bought this option because of the price. When I received it the instructions were terribly inadequate and essentially useless. I'm an advanced woodworker so I adapted a design I found on woodworkingformeremortals.com. When it came time to install this kit, it became clear that the lack of instructions was going to be a problem. I took manual measurements of the hardware but a dimensional drawing from the seller would be extremely helpful as my measurements are slightly off making it difficult to attach the spring hinge to the bed frame. I even had to drill that spot and glue sections of dowels to start over on one side. After this issue was resolved and the hinge piece was attached to the cabinet brace, we found that it was not possible to reattach the U-shaped locking pins that hold the two hinge pieces together. I managed to fit two hex keys into the holes in hopes that after the bed was pulled out I could attach the locking pins. UPDATE: I had to remodel my closet because I foolishly thought it would be nice if the bed platform folds up and the sides overlap, not considering the fact that the overlap would actually prevent it from rotating. After expanding the closet and installing boards to still allow this product to be attached to the bed platform, I used one of those flexible, spring-loaded handles to hold the pins in place and used a small hammer to knock them in to drive the holes and lock them in place. two parts of the loop together. Then finally we could open the bed. I asked the seller to approve my return request but they never responded. I've only upped my rating to two stars because it actually works, but building a cabinet is a much more complex woodworking project than I thought making it very difficult to complete. It took two months to complete and my mistake resulted in scrapping two sheets of $55 3/4 inch birch plywood. Buyers be careful.
