Ordered this for use in a guest room and estimated the price at the time of purchase at $28.47 if it were poor quality it would still do the job. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this blanket. As previously mentioned, this is not a true "patchwork" quilt, but a quilted piece of fabric. Let's not pick at a thirty-dollar blanket. The microfiber fabric is very soft and comfortable, and while it's lightweight, it should provide enough warmth on a really cold night or in a very cold house with an extra blanket. enough drips on the sides that a bed skirt or duster wasn't necessary, although I added them to give the bed a more finished look. Other reviewers noticed an unpleasant odor when removing the quilt/pads from the packaging, so I was open to suggestions to eliminate this odor. However, there was absolutely no odor in what I received. I tossed it in the dryer along with a damp towel to smooth out any wrinkles, added a scented dryer sheet for good measure and it came out nice and ready to lay on the bed. The colors shown online are a true representation of the fabric. These duvet and slips are absolutely gorgeous and a great anchor for a primitive look in our guest room. Highly recommended!
