I make a living from the fact that this silicone pad is NOT absorbent! No more disgusting sponges that cling to food and trash and contain billions of bacteria. The silicone sponge is easy to keep clean and is excellent at cleaning common household utensils such as plates, glasses and cutlery. This is not a dishwasher - I use Brillo cloths for this.
