Description of πŸ”Œ Enhanced ESI 308B Fuse Buddy ATC Current Loop

Great accessory for any current probe or automotive scope. Just clamp your current probe over the loop to access the amperage draw through a fused circuit. Easy testing access; plugs right into fuse socket; no more hand made adapters. Testing range 0-30 amperes, do not exceed 30 amperes. Also handy for installers needing to monitor circuit amperage limits.

Fast and accurate: Spare parts

I used it to measure the current in the fan circuit. It's fast and accurate. Just plug in the fuse, turn on the ammeter and instantaneous readings.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Diagnostics should be

This is the perfect accessory to take readings with my low amp probe. You no longer have to reach under your car to measure current in hard-to-reach wires. All of this can be conveniently done in the fuse box. I also bought an ESI 307M to cover both common fuses.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Slightly nuanced

The best tool to make current measurement much easier

If you need to know how many amps a circuit draws, to plan the size of fuse you need for the circuit or if you are having trouble with have blown fuses and need to determine the amperage in a circuit, this is the tool you need along with an inductive ammeter.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • There are nuances

I have high hopes!

At first glance I think most people are right about putting a fuse in a fuse. I tried to gently poke a small flat head in to try and move the fuse blade holders there and immediately realized that was a bad idea. If you poke around there to bring it, you will SEPARATE this device! I STRONGLY recommend not doing this. Just take the time to insert your chosen (amplifier) fuse here. But it should work fine as other people have said. PS I accidentally ordered a Fuse Buddy with a large blade but…

Good diagnostic tool

Bought to fix slow battery drain on about a hundred circuits on my W220 (too many to count). I use it with current clamps and get good results. I wish they had developed a model that could handle higher current as this is limited to 30A and I have many 40A circuits that limit its use.

Pros
  • Easy access for testing; is plugged directly into the fuse box. no more home made adapters
