Ascentix Velour Smoking Jacket Burgundy Review

Gift for my husband. He loved it I already knew because he already had the same black. He used to wear a regular knee-length robe, but after wearing the first of these tuxedos he was given, he never wore the robe again.

I am in love with this bathrobe I have never had a bathrobe made of this material and I have many of them (bathrobes) haha. Best purchase I've made in 2020, especially during this time of lockdown when I need a literal sense of comfort. I was a little wary of the price though, but you definitely get what you pay for. Good bathrobe for the price. Sky lining. The velor scratches a little more than I thought; however, it doesn't really matter. The jacket is very warm, pleasant to the touch and heavy. It feels like a high quality jacket. My main issue with the jacket is that it was longer than I had hoped. It also appears to be a lot more purple than the maroon I was expecting and also has a slightly looser fit than I intended. I will buy another jacket that better suits what I was looking for. I bought this jacket to wear as a Halloween costume (Gomez Adams) and surprisingly I wear it as a lounge jacket in the evenings while reading or lounging on the couch indoors. It is very comfortable and the materials are of good quality. This is definitely a multi-faceted jacket that you will wear more than once, even if you are buying a jacket for a specific occasion.

This is not a tuxedo in the traditional sense. This is nothing more than a short robe lined with satin. If you don't care how it looks and want to wear something comfy and warm on the couch on cold nights, then that's fine. But these aren't pretty tuxedos.
