Not what I ordered for toys for babies and toddlers

I received a completely different octopus than in the photo. It was packaged in a plain white and black box, unlike the colorful Einstein box. The octopus also looked a lot cheaper and the colors were different. Instead of a blue bow tie, he wore a cheap looking yellow bow tie. The undersides of his legs were black and white instead of yellow and orange. Very disappointed. I'll be back.

6 months old loves it!

My 6 month old loves this toy. To be honest she even likes it too much because when she sees it she starts squeaking and jumping and gets really hyperactive. Sometimes we have to take it away to let her calm down before we give it back. She hugs him tightly and rocks to the music. It is very easy for them to press the buttons and manipulate the toy. It was definitely worth how much she loves it.

To update! Stops working

Update: 06/21/2019 Stops working after less than 4 months. It's no use. Expensive for a famous stuffed animal. We have a new cheaper version that is mentioned in many reviews. I was happy with it but it stopped working properly after about 2 months and then completely. Obviously we got the 'cheaper' 'updated' version that some of the reviews are talking about, but my almost 6 month old loves this thing. We've had him for a few months now and she gets so excited when she sees him. I'm not sure…

  • Slightly torn

It was on my "children's wish list" for a while, and recently it ended up in my basket. It arrived yesterday afternoon and the kids (almost 5 months old) already love it! They smile at her (we'll call her "Olivia") and hug her to activate the sounds. It is soft and beautiful and the sounds are very pleasant. Our colors and sounds are strung together. Some of the other reviewers have mentioned that the tone that says "brown" doesn't really match the brown tentacle. This is NOT the case for us…

PRICE IS CHEAPER. AND PRODUCT

I really liked the first one I bought in August 2018. So I figured I'd buy a backup in case my kid wrecked the first one. Unfortunately, it looks like Baby Einstein is cutting corners to sell them cheaper. PLEASE NOTE THE ERROR OF DETAILS ON THE FACE OF THE PURCHASED THIS MONTH. In addition, the bow tie is now just cheap ribbon instead of pretty felt. The octopus is slightly smaller. and most disappointing is the VOLUME, or lack thereof. Not as loud as the ones I bought in August. (Yes, I…

Small Hard Heavy - Musical Toy

The battery compartment takes up the entire head, looks more like a rock than a plush and also makes the head quite heavy so the octopus keeps wanting to tip over. The bottom silk is soft, but the top blue fabric feels rough and cheap. Size description and photos are very misleading and even inaccurate (see photo). This is by no means the 11-inch stuffed animal we expected: small and cheap. Music selection is very limited, nothing like the BE symphony star we love. The ONLY value of this toy…

Baby Einstein Octopuses was another birthday present for my one year old grandson. This is a soft plush octopus that plays pleasant music when hugged or pressed on its head. The velor legs have round colorful satin spots to indicate a different color and corresponding object (red cherries, blue sky). Each foot announces both a color and an object when each of the eight feet is gently pressed, and a switch in the battery compartment selects a different language: English, French, and Spanish…
