The best belt! in my opinion

I already had one in gray. I also chose black because I really like it. Unlike many other woven belts, it does not unravel when worn.

Pros
  • This is the perfect belt. Very durable, light, suitable for airports, continuously adjustable.
Cons
  • The carbon fiber buckle may be too stiff and uncomfortable for prolonged use.

Great for travel. Think TSA metal detectors

I have had another model of Bison belt with a non-metal buckle for many years and it is starting to show its age. Bought as a spare/replacement. Very happy with the build quality. Absolutely no discounts or compromises over my 20 year old bison belt. I love the look and feel of the carbon fiber buckle, it's an evolution of my original Bison buckle. Hope for many years of service from this one.

Pros
  • You don't have to take it to the TSA. Holds up great and is light. It is necessary.
Cons
  • Replacing a carbon fiber buckle can be more expensive than replacing a traditional metal buckle.

10 years old, still in great shape!

I have had this belt for 10 years and have worn it over a thousand times. It exceeded all expectations. The buckle still looks like new, the nylon is just showing the first signs of wear. Great as an everyday belt and for air travel

Pros
  • Everyone should always have a belt!
Cons
  • Black may not suit all outfits or personal styles.

Love it. ..... - my new review

I like the belt. I have had several Patagonia friction belts and if you are familiar with this belt they are very similar. The webbing is a bit thicker than the strap which I really like. Also, I was a little scared thinking that the carbon buckle would be flimsy and brittle, but it isn't, it seems solid. I'm looking forward to my first flight!

Pros
  • I love this belt.
Cons
  • The carbon fiber buckle is more difficult to adjust than traditional buckles.

Good black belt in my rating

So the picture shows a brown belt. It is black as advertised. The width is perfect. Not the typical 1.5, but 1.2 inches wide. It is lightweight and contains no metal. It can easily be cut with scissors and then melted down with a match or lighter to trim. Any price is good. Try it. If you don't like it, you can always return it.

Pros
  • My favorite simple, lightweight, non-metallic belt
Cons
  • Carbon fiber material may not be as durable as traditional materials like leather.

Belt to use in my review

I've been looking for a strong and thin belt for a long time. Some of my shorts have small belt loops and most of my belts don't fit in these loops. I've tried woven straps and they don't hold up at all. I have tried military style belts but they are too big. This belt fits all my belt loops and looks sturdy. A clear plus is the broomless buckle that goes through security at the airport. The belt is a little more expensive than I wanted but I think it's worth it.

Pros
  • But that's not the case. It's a BLACK BELT and a BLACK BUCKLE!
Cons
  • The design of the buckle may not be for everyone, which detracts from the belt's aesthetic appeal.

Love bison products but hate this thing

Regardless of the technology used, the belt must primarily withstand your blows. Second, it should be easy to put on. All other considerations are irrelevant. This belt is very difficult to put on and tighten. So it fundamentally fails. It's not about shaving a few grams of weight, and no one will ever notice your belt has a carbon fiber buckle. It's all about whether it's a good belt or not.

Pros
  • EXCELLENT PRODUCTO LIGERO RESISTANT A LA CARGA. MUY BUENO.
Cons
  • The buckle may bend or break under pressure or impact.

Great belt final review

I have old Bison Designs straps made from a more flexible webbing that I love. That's why I bought this belt. I like the carbon buckle. (I gifted 2 straps with the purchase of my own!) The strap is very durable and I'm sure this strap will serve me for many years to come. The reasons I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the webbing is quite snug against the buckle and the stiffness of the webbing causes the webbing to sit further from the waistline than I would prefer.

Pros
  • DURABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT: Bison Designs 30mm Buckle Carbonator Web Belt Made from 100% carbon fiber is incredibly strong and lightweight. The carbon fiber buckle is extra strong and stiff, giving you peace of mind that your belt will last a long time without breaking or getting damaged.
Cons
  • The black color can fade over time, reducing the aesthetics of the belt.

It's not brown! in my rating

I actually have another black bison belt that I really like so I ordered it when I saw this 'brown' one. To my disappointment, it's not Brown! There is no option for brown, so why is the image brown? I'm keeping it because it's a great belt but it's misleading if you're looking for a brown belt.

Pros
  • Great belt except for the color which is not dark brown.
Cons
  • Carbon fiber material can discolour over time.

Don't be fooled by the pictures when ordering. I ordered my first belt because it looked like the picture; I thought I was getting a brown belt even though the description said 'black'. It was very black and very long (although I read the size chart beforehand). So I sent it back and went online to order another one. This time I didn't pay attention to the picture; color description only. I also ordered a smaller size. And this time when I received it, the actual color was exactly as the…

Pros
  • STYLISH AND VERSATILE: This webbing belt also has a sleek and stylish design that complements any casual or street outfit. You can wear it with jeans, shorts or even hiking pants. Plus, the adjustable size makes it a versatile accessory that fits most waist sizes.
Cons
  • The carbon fiber buckle may not be suitable for all occasions or dress codes.

Great belt, my verdict

Great belt for everyday or dressing up, I bought this to wear at the airport, carbon graphite is not metal and does not need to be removed. The belt still doesn't need to be removed but I still love wearing it now

Pros
  • Bought for my son. He loves to. He can get past medal detectors while working without removing his belts or turning them off.
Cons
  • Lack of belt tension can cause discomfort when sitting or bending over.

Check out other options

For the money I thought it would be the best style. I have had other bison belts that cost less. The only difference with this belt was the buckle.

Pros
  • Solid buckle - does what a normal belt should do.
Cons
  • The 30mm width may not fit through all pant loops or belt loops.

Good idea, badly implemented

Getting straight to the point: the belt buckle has been moved backwards, with the tongue on the right where it doesn't help, rather than on the left. You can flip the strap, but then the loose end of the strap will block use of the tongue. I will find a local seamstress to take the belt apart and attach the buckle with the tongue on the left side. Unfortunately the bar will be at the bottom, not the top (check the BDU 5.11 belt or better to see how it should be), but then the belt can be used.

Pros
  • The best belts I have. I now have one in black and one in grey. Race right through the airport lines.
Cons
  • The carbon fiber material is easily scratched, which will shorten the life of the belt.

Great product made in the USA.

I did not purchase this belt from Revain but from a local hiking shop (support your local business people). Same belt though and I have to say I really like it. It's pretty much the only belt I've worn in the last five or so years, with the exception of leather belts for more dressy occasions of course. So far it's holding up great. No cracks, no chipping on the carbon fibre, no fraying on the nylon and with its lightness it practically disappears at the waist. Very comfortable and at the same…

Pros
  • Great belt. Lightweight and durable
Cons
  • The carbon fiber buckle may be too heavy and cause discomfort for some consumers

What a great find: Men

I found the first one years ago and bought it on a whim. It was great at the time, also because the lack of metal meant I could wear them at airport security. I also appreciate the simplicity and light weight. In addition, he proved to be durable. So this is the third one I've bought and my wife now has one too. I'm a fan.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

New favorite belt (EVER!)

Pros: - Great belt for everyday use - I really like the carbon fiber look - You can wear it at checkpoints - Black belt - it's only black. The pretty buckle is mostly black with gray grains showing through. It's not a heavy "tactical" belt, but it's still very strong and narrow enough to fit through almost any belt loop. That's exactly what I wanted. The buckle is amazing - never slips off. And I already mentioned that it looks cool. Goes great with jeans, chinos, shorts, dress pants, etc. In…

It's not brown! fits men

Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great accessories

Just what I needed! A durable belt that goes with everything and goes with everything. I like the carbon fiber buckle. My first Bison has worn out after 6 years of heavy use. This has a lower weight. Both of my sons are still wearing our original sneakers. This is her "perfect" belt.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great belt in Belt

Great belt for everyday wear or to dress up, I bought this to wear at the airport, carbon graphite is not metal and does not need to be removed. I have yet to take the belt off but I still love it, wear it now

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Hard to say
