Description of Brooks Ghost Grey Alloy Oyster Men's Athletic Shoes: Optimal Performance and Style

Imported. Rubber sole. THIS MEN'S SHOE IS FOR: Runners looking for a smooth ride that won’t distract from the fun of the run. The Ghost 14 offers a simplified midsole construction which creates more seamless transitions. This Brooks Ghost 14 is a certified PDAC A5500 Diabetic shoe and has been granted the APMA Seal of Acceptance. SUPPORT AND CUSHION: The Ghost 14 offers neutral support while providing high energizing cushioning. Ideal for road running, cross training, the gym or wherever you might want to take them! Predecessor: Ghost 13. BALANCED, SOFT CUSHIONING: BioMoGo DNA and DNA LOFT cushioning work together to provide a just-right softness underfoot without losing responsiveness and durability - yet it feels lighter than ever. DNA LOFT now makes up the entire midsole, for a softer, smoother, ride. SMOOTH, STABLE RIDE: No matter how your foot lands, our Segmented Crash Pad - an integrated system of shock absorbers - will cushion every step and stride for smooth heel-to-toe transitions. SOFT, SECURE, FIT: More strategic use of the 3D Fit Print upper technology provides structure that moves with the foot.

Not as good as 13

I'll stock up on the Ghost 13's. They appear to be cheaper and thinner. They are not as soft as in previous years. The shoe's upper is thinner, which is not a very good thing. I hate flat shoelaces. That is nonsense. I only use these shoes and this is my worst year yet. I hope they fix this. I will return them and buy Ghost 13.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • Style 90

Tight, tight! when road running

I ordered 15 4E's just to get a wide shoe to help with my foot issues and they are so narrow and about 2 inches longer! Doesn't fit. Lesson learned, you should always go to your local shoe store and try them on first.

Pros
  • Useful not only for intended purpose
Cons
  • So so

Brooks Ghost 14 - Athletic

This is the best Ghost shoe I have had since my Ghost 10 shoes. The shoe has so much grip on asphalt that I can take longer strides. The cushioning is enough for comfort, but not enough to compromise good road feel. I am really impressed.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Trade-in
