Great all round shoe

I've been a long time fan of the Brooks line of shoes. I walk seven to ten miles a day in these shoes and walk my dog and my dog with me. I put those miles back on sidewalks, tarmac, and trails. This shoe performs well in all conditions and is a comfortable running shoe. Holds up well and looks sporty.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Toe box too narrow to walk

I've been wearing the Dyad for 10 years and was hoping this trail shoe would meet my hiking needs. Unfortunately, the toe box is narrower than my feet can handle. Too bad because they look like great shoes.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Defective fabric eyelets for shoelaces

The shoes were fine for almost 4 months but then I thought the lace was torn; Instead, it was one of the fabric loops. The laces are passed through both ordinary eyelets (leather/plastic) and 4 fabric eyelets approximately in the middle of the tongue. It's one of those fabric eyelets that has broken and the adjacent fabric eyelet is starting to wear out. UPDATE: I have contacted Brooks directly and explained that I think this is a product defect and they are sending me a replacement set of…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Wrinkled

My summer shoes are the best for sport

Great lightweight shoes to wear when it's not raining. I wear them all summer. They don't react well to water, your toes get wet, but they're great in a shoe for going off-road in the summer.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Very stable hiking shoe

This is my 57th pair of Cascadias and I wore them trail running for ten years before age limited me to trail hiking. Nothing complicated, but high stability for old hands is an advantage.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything

Tight running is best for men

More and more seems to be happening, with Brooks and NB wide no longer being wide. And my foot is hardly wide. The quality is also lower, but the design is great. You'd think they'd keep their market corner for wide hiking and athletic shoes since almost all other shoes are so narrow. But unfortunately they are also shrinking. I guess the overseas stores just don't follow the blueprints so you end up with inferior and narrower shoes. Makes sense when you think about where everything is made.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Legacy model

Honestly the best shoes I've ever worn in my life

I've been wearing them for a little over a month and they still feel like I'm walking on clouds. I have worn Asics, Nike, Saucony, New Balance etc and none of them can compare.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Some little things

Not Gortex for running

Shoes fit ok and the quality of the shoes seemed ok. However, I bought this particular shoe because of the waterproof Gore-Tex upper. After a simple test I found that they are not waterproof at all.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Fits perfectly! on Athletic

Took them out of the box and walked 12 miles. Zero foot problems. I started with Cascadia 13, switched to 14 and now 15. Love this brand-

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not bad
