I find this rack particularly useful when preparing percent solutions of highly hygroscopic chemicals like NaOH. I place my 100ml cylinder on the scale, tare it and place a borosilicate funnel on top as shown. I can then open the NaOH bottle, pour out the 40g needed and reseal the bottle before it starts absorbing moisture from the air. I will be purchasing a more suitable holder in the near future. Overall I am very happy with the stand and if I ever need a second one I will buy this again.
