Even with socks and bandages on the Achilles tendon, these shoes can still cause serious lacerations in less than 45 minutes. I have never had such uncomfortable hard shoes. I'm pretty sure they are plastic and not Crocs plastic but the hardened plastic your steering wheel is made of. I suggest only buying them if you're comfortable hurting yourself.

Light and rather comfortable shoes. They are not very wide for wide shoes. The toe box seems wide enough, but the rest of the shoe isn't. They are a little tight when you put your foot in them, but when you put them on everything is fine. Very light, with a comfortable outsole. Good grip on slippery surfaces. Overall quality seems good. I'm not sure I'll buy them again but I will definitely wear this pair.

For a 'boat' designed for fishing at waterholes (you should be able to put them on and wear them barefoot) this is a terrible design. The leather heel strap digs into the ankle like a spur and even when cut off leaves a stiff stitching that runs to the center of the inside of the heel. At worst, style is more important than function. You can wear them without socks, but you have to wrap your heel in the shoe and step on it.
