I was a bit disappointed to find that the 3 parts weren't .

I was a little disappointed to find that 3 parts are not stainless steel (nut, lock washer and cotter pin) so they are all rusty/corroded now. Balls and shaft are excellent, no corrosion problems.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Changing from one ball size to another is easy

love this set. It is very easy to install the base, then you need to push out the pin to change it to another ball. My hitch works better with this kit than the previous "cheaper" ball I had. I highly recommend this set.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • boring packaging

All solid stainless steel except nut and .

All solid stainless steel except for the nut and washer so you will need to replace them, according to the photo the kit is of good quality, both sides of the pin have o-rings to seal a to make a watertight seal, now only for the rest of the time

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Well made, easy to swap out

The rust-free construction is closer to the color of aluminum so it matches the hitch perfectly. The ball is easy to change. Who wants to fiddle around with a big wrench, let alone find one, when the ball is the wrong size. I put a light grease on the pin and shaft so replacement should be easy based on time and weather. Overall the size and look is perfect for my gear.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Fine

NOT Solid Stainless Steel

Shaft and balls are stainless steel and well finished. Would have given 5 stars but I waited a week to get this only to find a zinc plated steel mounting nut and lock washer. The packaging clearly says "Solid Stainless Steel". Now I either have to get the manufacturer to send me a request that they sell, or I have to pay extra and find a local supplier of specialty equipment to get the stainless steel components.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No Instructions

Great product but the hardware looks galvanized

I really like this product and would like to give it five stars. I state that it is "solid stainless steel". I noticed that the nut and washer are zinc plated? I live in Florida and take my boat out to sea 4 times a month. I have an SS receiver and was so happy to order this product. But it is sad to see that the nut and washer are not stainless steel. Can I get a stainless steel washer, nut and cotter pin?

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not sure

Nearly perfect! for hitch balls

This is a great product, very well made and designed. I like the ball storage box, accessible from all sides (sold separately), attractive and easy to use. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the fact that the nut, lock washer and cotter pin were not stainless steel as they would rust. The mine is mounted on an aluminum receiver. It was difficult and time consuming to keep track of the stainless steel equipment that was to come with the stainless steel unit.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Obsolete

Excellent fit for hitch ball

Got this because I tow all the time and don't want to toggle the clutch on and off. The last spare bullet I had wasn't stainless and rusted quickly, meaning it was only a durable 2" bullet. Yes, the nut and washer aren't stainless steel, but they're a smart choice. Shear Strength of Steel. The stem and ball are fine as stainless steel because they are impressively thick, but the nut walls aren't as thick, so I think they used steel. So do you prefer a nut that won't rust or one that will hold…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Volume

Design won't tighten properly

This rebuildable trailer ball might seem like a great idea, but it has one major drawback. Most trailer ball designs are not round at the base and have two cutouts to accommodate a wrench to tighten the ball to the specified torque. Not in this design. This presents a noticeable problem when attempting to drive the shaft to specification since the shaft simply rotates. But wait - what about the pinhole that attaches the bullet to the shaft? Of course, I had a mandrel that was the right size for

  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Almost Fine
