hands off it! Not up to the typical high Dickies standards!

I have been buying Dickies pants and shirts for my husband for many years. This was the first time I bought these shirts and definitely the last time. The fabric of these shirts is of poor quality. They are badly faded even after the first wash and have not been washed with anything other than All Free and Clear detergent. Anyone expecting the same quality as regular Dickies work shirts will be severely disappointed. Now after 6 months of use my husband only wears these shirts when all else is…

Size '2XL-Tall' is not as large as expected

Overall this Henely pocket shirt is very well made and about 40% cheaper than my 2XL-Tall in the Carhartt Henley pocket. The fabric seems a little heavier. The main difference is that the Carhartt version has a 3-4 inch longer tail. So when you wear your tails, the Dickeys version looks better because the Carhartt version is actually too long below the waist. But if you tuck half your shirt in your pants, then Carhartt's version is better, so there are no "plumbers," so to speak. However, the…

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

I wear Carhartt 2XL Henleys almost every day. I thought I'd give Dicky a try. The quality seems as good as Carhartt, but the size doesn't even come close. Dickies 2XL was a fairly tight fit at the chest and waist. I recommend ordering one size larger than you normally wear unless you like a very tight shirt. I returned 2XL, can try 3XL or just stick with Carhartt.

  • Great for a small home

Better than Carhartt

I like the fit of this shirt. I'll take a very big one. I ordered a couple of Carhartt's a while ago. Very large size is inconsistent. Some are larger depending on where they were made. The collars are too wide. So I decided to try Dickies again. 15 years ago Dickie's pocket tea was about $7 at Walmart and we were very nice. They then changed the way they were made from nice cotton to a stretchy and thinner material so I stopped buying. This Henley is again at the level of quality I like and…

Currently using three Henley brands: (these) Dickies, Wrangler Riggs, and Carhartt. Overall little difference in quality or fit. There are some differences. The RIGGS Wrangler brand has two buttons and a 1 inch square leather case with logo. In contrast to the three models, the fit of the Riggs is slightly tighter and that of the Carhartt is slightly larger. Of the fabrics after multiple washes, Riggs is the smoothest, Carhartt is the roughest, a noticeable difference between Riggs and the…

Simply functional and strong enough for work

Haven't bought these in a few years, new position at my work so I can wear them now. Great quality, not as thick as before but again no clothes. But hard enough for me. Good size front pocket. I can wear a big one but I prefer to buy a big long one because it always annoys me but my shirt gets pulled out of my pants and I don't want to unbutton it. Unbuttoning is just an excuse for manufacturers to save money by not making the right t-shirt size. They turned it into a fad and publicity stunt…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Repair

I have bought at least 7 of these sturdy, thick and comfortable shirts in the last 6 months but so far 3 of them have been mislabeled. They were smaller than advertised and labeled. Very disappointed with my recent order of two different colored shirts when one fit me perfectly as expected and the other (tag with the same size) was too small. I've decided to keep them because I think I'll lose weight and fit into them (don't I?). So I have at least three that are great for when I stop eating…

Best work shirt for the money

I've been looking for a good cheap work shirt for the Texas heat for a long time and here it is. The fabric from the pack resembles a potato sack, but will soften with washing (this takes time). This is a medium to light weight fabric that will soften over time, just what I was looking for. It's not too hot here and the sweat dries quickly. The Carhartt equivalent of this shirt is $20, thick cotton and soft straight out of the pocket, and I sweat like a pig and stay wet all day. I've been…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Can I add something

I didn't like this shirt at all. I used to have thick pocketed Dickies t-shirts and loved them, but this is the first Henley I've tried. The fabric is very heavy, almost like canvas. It's just uncomfortable, even after a few washes. Secondly, the front pocket goes far into the left armpit and is also too high. It's also too small to carry a modern cell phone. I'm giving it to the Salvation Army. waste of money.
