Does the job well for cutting tools

Three screws, 1.5 inch stock conforms to the pictures and description and does what it needs for at least one project I bought it for. Seems strong enough to withstand many future projects if needed, but probably not for frequent or industrial use. I accidentally ordered two and Revain refunded one and told me to keep it so I think it's cool. I don't really need 2 lying around, but at least I don't have to worry about packing and shipping them back.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Good matrix for the money

The design is as follows, the body is cast non-ferrous metal and the handles are chrome steel with a nice knurled end for grip. The die fits snugly in the center and has three slotted thumbscrews to secure the die to the die. I used mine to trace multiple threads from 7/8 to 14 and it worked really well. The die is too short for cutting new threads in large diameter material, but works for new threads up to 1/2 inch. Overall this is a really good tool for the money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

There are 4 threaded holes (not 3), eighteen with 5/16 screws. Only one has a protruding knurled head, the rest of the set screws are flush All 4 have slots for a flathead screwdriver The thumb screw faces the other end Customs stamps I have. Unfortunately the threads are not at right angles to the die body. I screwed a…
