I like that they are cotton. And I love the colors and I love how expensive they are. I think the trick is that we just wash them separately and line dry instead of tumble drying them until they've stabilized.

The first time I washed these towels there was lint on the bottom of the washing machine. When I dried them my lint trap was so full of lint that I was surprised my dryer didn't stop. When I folded them, the whole bottom lay in a pile and the seams came out. I don't recommend this to anyone.

I loved the towels but since I don't know how to store them before shipping I always rinse anything I order in the mail if it can harm my skin. The towels are soft but have too much lint. I had to clean the lint filter in the dryer TWICE. Some fluff was still stuck to the towels and was still visible after rinsing twice! Fabric softener helped a few but I'm not sure I would order them again.

I bought these to use on our cats when we need to bathe them. I read a lot of reviews before I got them and people complained about all the fluff. This happens with almost all NEW products. Stop whining. No, the lint didn't cling to the towels like some people said. Simply remove lint halfway through drying and continue drying. No problem. They came out nice and soft. In 51 years of marriage these are the worst towels I have ever touched. I washed them to see if they would get soft, but they didn't. And where all the fluff from the dryer came from I don't know, as the towels weren't originally soft and fluffy. (They are prickly indeed!) Reasonable price for quantity. I expected the towels to be thin and planned to use them mostly on those special shower days when I'd rather not risk ruining a good towel after a shower, so thinness wasn't a huge issue for me.
