Awesome toy! My son loves the different colors of .

Awesome toy! My son loves the different colors of the screws and nails, and that the drill works to put the screws in and reverse them back out. It has captured his attention. The drill makes a little bit of noise but not too much compared to some other toys. I love that it is not a huge stand up toy and that it stores all the pieces.

Pros
  • Received it yesterday and my girl enjoys it so much. Thank you for a great product.
Cons
  • Some pieces may be difficult to remove once snapped into place

This toy has kept both my 3 and 4 year old busy for at least an hour each day since we opened it up. The workbench itself is able to hold all of the 60 bolts, 60 nails, hammer and drill in itself - I love that I do not have to have anything else to hold any of the items for this set!The workbench is well made and sturdy, my four year old sat on it and was leaning on it and it hardly moved or flexed. The drill is easy to use and teaching children about how a drill works by going clockwise and…

Pros
  • Perfect for my tool loving 2.5 year old and will be played with for years to come.
Cons
  • The drill may not have enough power

Well-built and lots of safe fine motor fun

This is much bigger than I expected, a nice surprise! My children all wanted to play with it and it keeps them busy! At first, I wasn’t thrilled that the screwdriver needed batteries, but it ended up being great and was so fun because it made it more realistic, like Dad’s. The storage tray really comes in handy and I appreciate the patterning ideas in the manual to extend their learning.

Pros
  • Quiet, creative play that holds up well against a semi-destructive toddler.
Cons
  • The toy may not have enough variation in colors

Really fun toy: my feedback

My son got to try out this really cool toy from Educational Insights called my first workbench. It is quite large and it comes with tons of different colored plastic screws and nails. It comes with a a screw driver that takes batteries so it really works and a hammer. There’s a large pull out drawer so you can store all the supplies when not in use. In the instruction manual it includes a diagram of different pictures and patterns you can make with the different colored nails and screws, which…

Pros
  • Bought this for my classroom m. My students love it!
Cons
  • The toy may require adult supervision

Another popular plastic screw and drill driver play set

This is nice because it combines the mechanical feel of working a drill-driver with the arts and crafts aspect of making interesting designs. Encourages young minds to develop a feel and eye for both the mechanical and the artistic.

Pros
  • My three year old grandson loved it. Played with it most of Christmas Day.
Cons
  • Some pieces may break easily

3 year old LOVES it!

My son LOVES this toys! He watches my husband using tools regularly and was very excited to have some of his very own. I just wish I would have read ahead of time that batteries were not included so I could have had some on hand.

Pros
  • Three year old grandson loves it.
Cons
  • The drill may be too small for some children’s hands

I love it, but. good for me

I love this toy but I am somewhat surprised it's made of plastic when it takes so much abuse. It was a tiny bit bowed when I got it and I imagine that will only get worse with time. I do really love the idea of the toy, and my daughter enjoys it. But I think better materials could be used.

Pros
  • INTRODUCE STEM LEARNING: Introduce STEM and early math skills. Children will sort and count the colorful bolts, map out all kids of designs, and develop critical preschool math skills
Cons
  • The toy may not be able to hold up to rough play

Storage drawer makes this the BEST!

Originally bought a light up version for my kids but bought this one as a gift because it had the drawer.totally wish I had gotten this one instead, the drawer is AWESOME!

Pros
  • What a great toy for kids we have a few of these sets and the kids just love it!
Cons
  • Assembly is time-consuming

Good rainy day toy for my toddler

Good rainy day toy for my toddler. Fun to give them a toy that they can pretend to be like Daddy, that's not real power tools. The screwdriver/drill has an upward & downward mode. It's fun for using the screws to make patterns.

Pros
  • REAL WORKING DRILL TOY AND WORKBENCH: Little builders get busy with a workbench and tool set designed just for them! Hammer nails and drill bolts directly into the bench to create colorful patterns
Cons
  • The toy may not be practical for travel

Hammer broke after one month of average play.

I loved this workbench set for the first month. Then the hammer tines broke. I have contacted the company many, many times and they will not respond with a replacement hammer. I have provided the company with all of the necessary information and I have not been able to get a response from them. I have called them and mailed them with the info they asked for for several MONTHS. Do not buy this set.

Pros
  • The workbench provides hands-on learning experience, improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
Cons
  • The toy may not come with batteries

great if it worked!

This is a great set but our drill doesn't work well. Sometimes it turns on and sometimes it doesn't. Given that, my daughter lost interest quickly.

Pros
  • The workbench is ideal for parent-child bonding and interactive playtime
Cons
  • The toy may not have enough pieces to be used creatively in conjunction with other toys

My child loves this toy!

This workbench is a huge hit with our little ones. My kids absolutely love it. They can spend hours playing with this toy. The toy is very sturdy, durable, and well made. It has a drawer to hold screws and nails. The drawer opens and closes smoothly without any finer pinching. My kids especially like the electric screwdriver. It does take batteries, but the kids love it so much that it is well worth it.The screws and nails are made with vivid colors/. The instruction manual is easy to…

Pros
  • The variety of screws, bolts, and pieces that come with the workbench create endless possibilities for designs and constructions, allowing for repeated play and hours of entertainment
Cons
  • The toy may not be suitable for group play

Excellent developmental FUN toy!

Totally underestimated this toolkit. It's definitely a 5-star toy. It has nails to hammer in with a hammer and screws to screw in with a battery activated screwdriver. I thought it was more of a color-matching thing. It is that PLUS so much more! Fine motor development. 2 yr old was entertained for over an hour.that is incredible! 5 year old loves it too!

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The toy may not be interesting enough to hold attention for long periods

Great toy for a toddler

My two year old loves this toy. Its really durable for banging in nails and the screw driver has held up well with screwing in and out the screws. Theres storage for the nails, screws and tools. Great toy a toddler can really bang on and have fun.

Pros
  • The toy is made out of durable materials that can withstand the wear and tear of a child’s play
Cons
  • The toy may not have enough instructional materials to aid with construction
