Great camera and photo adapter

I bought two of these for a pair of M42 lenses. They arrived quickly and feel very solid in my hands. They are very well machined, with very tight tolerances. Both of my lenses fit very tightly on the body of the GH2. My lenses have a manual aperture switch so I don't need a recessed lip, but if you don't have a manual aperture switch on your lenses it would be necessary to manually control the aperture ring. Highly recommended.

Works as expected; good build quality.

Unlike other reviewers, I had no trouble focusing to infinity with any of the three M42 lenses on my Panasonic GH2. There is no weaving of threads and the inner bezel successfully pushes the aperture control buttons. The M42 thread is well made, without burrs. For use with three M42 lenses from the 1970s: Soligor 135mm/f2.8, Mamiya/Sekor 28mm/f2.8 and Mamiya/Sekor 50mm/f2. A note on my infinity focusing experience: I have used all three M42 lenses for astrophotography. I have no problem…

Well made, works as intended.

I bought this adapter to attach an M42 screw mount lens to my Micro 4/3 camera. One thing was crucial: the adapter had to have a flange that pushes the aperture pin in, otherwise I couldn't manually change the aperture when the lens is mounted on the camera. This adapter worked perfectly. The lens was mounted correctly so that all the information was visible from above, the lens to mount connection and the mount and housing were perfectly tight but not too tight. The flange pressed onto the pin

The threads are very tangled

"Works" but will ruin your camera mount. The threads are very tangled, there is incredible resistance to adjusting and twisting and I can barely snap and when I tried to remove it it got 100% stuck and I had to force it to disengage (by pressing the button held down). attach button). I remember it getting stuck 3 times in a row and felt like I struggled and struggled for half an hour to remove it. This will break your mount, mine hasn't broken yet, but I won't be using it again to find out. Buy

Be careful with adapters and converters

I originally gave this product a 1 star rating but I have changed my mind and have now given it 3 stars. When I first tried to mount the adapter on my camera (BMPCC), it was incredibly difficult to screw it in, and the same goes for attaching the lens to the adapter. The M42 side has three screws, these screws have loosened and the threaded mount has come loose from the rest of the adapter. I found an Allen key that fits tiny screws and I managed to tighten the M42 side. , and the next time I…

Good value for the taper of the m42; YMMV

This adapter works quite well although I only have one lens to evaluate. I experience some blurring, some coma and color fringing. For me, covering the diaphragm makes it easier. I used this adapter to connect a 1964/65 Super Asahi 50mm 1.4 lens to a Panasonic GH4; The crop factor gives a focal length of 100mm for a full frame. If I didn't already have a lens I would just go with the Olympus 45mm/1.8 which is sharp, light and convenient (in 90mm equivalent). Although I would like to buy CZJ…
