It came rancid, greenish in color. I'm not sure if it's due to the natural ingredients that turned this color or something else. Will come back and buy from Nordstrom. The oil is blue and the other is a dark green liquid. It shouldn't be liquid.

Normally a 5 star product (I used to buy direct from their website and Sephora) but it has expired. The mask is dark green instead of the normal blue, the lid had what appeared to be mold and it has a strong chemical smell, almost like ammonia or something. gonna kick out

I have already tried this product and I love their oil! This is my first time getting an oil mask duo and I think they sent me an expired product. The mask wasn't sealed and it looked like it was moldy? The mask completely melted and leaked through the box. As I said, I've never tried a mask before, so not sure if this is the texture it's supposed to have or if it's really expired. The oil looks good and looks just like the ones I always buy.

Lapis Lazuli oil is great, but masks clearly lack quality control. Before I ordered I saw reviews from others saying their mask had gone rancid. I figured this needed to be done so I'll go ahead and order, but my mask arrived rancid, brown, runny, and with a strong odor that lingers in your chest when you inhale it; I left it open long enough to take the picture I took and I could feel it in my chest for hours. This is unsafe and not normal, not the level of quality I expect from Herbivore.

Just don't take it, believe me, don't take it, at least not from here. I didn't listen to the other reviews that said the mask had expired hoping they were wrong or I got lucky and bought a good mask but mine was so terrible. It had film on it, was swamp green, and smelled like something fermenting. Oil also triggered allergies in me.

I swear by these products. My skin has never been softer and more hydrated. It has clearly cleared my skin and helped my complexion. I use it along with the Hydration & Glow Trial Kit and am very happy with the results. I've been looking for a new skincare routine for a long time and still couldn't find one that suits my skin type (normal to dry). Highly recommend if you are looking for natural/gentle skincare products.

I've read other reviews and see color changes but this is a natural product so can't expect anything else. And it really works wonders! The oil and mask together was a game changer for me. It brightens without drying or irritating, it just keeps your skin in check. I'll be 62 soon and I've been having pimples lately - somehow that's really unfair! Should have listened to the reviews. The box has been opened, so it's a red flag. The mask did NOT have the hygiene seal that Herbivore Botanicals has on all of their products. I was definitely disappointed when I received this. From the start I expected a light blue color and it was diarrhea green. When I opened it, the smell was subtle but strong. Some product reviews say the color of the mask in the jar is brown. Mine was very fine and blue so don't worry. The smell is pleasant and I felt the difference the first night. Maybe it's my imagination, but I like to think it was the product itself. I applied facial oil and my skin is so smooth. When I run out I will definitely buy more.
